Cloudykit's distress lingered, despite her brother's comforting presence. She squeezed her eyes shut and leaned into his warmth. The unsettling realization about her eye felt like a shadow was cursed over her - like StarClan was angry. Are they angry that I can't even see them properly? Her mind felt evil, jumping to the worst possible conclusions. Their attempts to reassure her had some effect, but it felt like there was a storm brewing in her mind. Worst of all? She felt embarrassed and silly about making it a big deal. This is a path she'd have to walk alone.

She started walking the path by leaning up from her brother's comfort. "I.. Thank you." She mewed, her voice still carrying a hint of uncertainty. As Daisypaw playfully assessed her attributes, she released a small giggle despite the anguish that lingered in her eyes. She smiled softly at her diagnosis but attempted to exaggerate it so Daisypaw thought her reassurance wasn't just partially successful. "If the medicine cat thinks we're going to be two fine apprentices, then all the other clans must watch out!" She responded, attempting to sound more confident than she was. One fine apprentice.

However, the earlier moment lingered like fog - waiting for another moment to cloud her thoughts.
