My client was deathly sick at the time: his words meant nothing but delusion strike them from the record

Stormwatcher coughed heavily his sides heaving as he wheezed. Blood splattered on his front paws and the nest he had barely had the energy to put together. He shivered as he lay there not even able to lift his head to see what was going on around him. Through the stuffy nose and scent of his own blood he could faintly make out that at least he was still in the group of skyclan.

His eyes were clamped partly closed filled with gross icky goop causing his vision to be blurred and unfocused at best.

His ears were clogged as well not helping his sense of balance, direction or anything else really.

As the night approached and things got dark he shivered more huddled into himself even his big thick wooly coat was waning in the elements.

Is this how I die? he thought head spinning. Cruel starclan... cruel. Killing me as soon as I was getting better as a warrior

the shame crept in on how many days he had wasted away in his youth. When he had energy back then he had chosen to laze around and do nothing and now that he wanted so much to get up and fight for his clan he could not. The ironic twist that the stars had cast upon him made him nearly seethe (and if he had any energy he would have)

He lay there feeling so helpless, please... just one more chance I wont waste this one

He blinked his mind feeling itself wandering and felt like he was slipping away.

He flicked his ears hearing pawsteps approaching... Mum?? She had died so long ago he tried to look at her. No it wasnt mum... he didnt know who it was though.

"You must be my starclan cat?" he meowed coughing his head off between words.

He shivered more "I d-dont wanna go yet... I never got to t-tell her what she did for me"

"Let me have more time i'll change. I'll tell wolf shes a sister to me, dont take me prior" he meowed his voice cracking in a plea.

Stormwatcher being emotional?? He must be sick indeed. And him admitting that about wolf? Only on the brink of death could this happen.


(OOC note: Storm is very much still alive just to make that crystal clear. He just thinks he is dying... his "starclan cat" is wolf herself lols!)

Wolfblossom made her way through the sickened group of Skyclan cats, her own breath rattling uncomfortably in her chest and her throat pained by coughing fit she was trying desperately to suppress. She was still standing, and not as sick as many of her clanmates which was a good thing, but seeing so many of her family and friends in such poor state made her heart twist. Birdstar, her kits, Stormwatcher was among those worst affected by the illness that poor Smokepetal was working overtime to try and deal with. As she approached him, Wolfblossom wished desperately that she had spent more time in the medicine den with Plumleaf, more time learning about the herbs so many of her family members had used instead of claws.

Claws might be useful in the coming future, but they were useless against the strained coughing and rheumy eyes of the sick.

Stormwatcher seemed to be awake, and that made her heart lift... Until he spoke. And just as quickly her heart was sent crashing down to her paws. "Stormwatcher... It's me, Wolfblossom. I'm not your Starclan cat... You're not dead. You're not dying." She spoke, wishing desperately that her voice alone might will that to be the case for her ailing clanmate.

"This journey was a curse." She muttered under her breath, "Just hang in there, Smokepetal will find a way to deal with this illness." Even to her own ears she sounded desperate.
