Owlkit looked to both his sides and smirked. The stupid warriors were mousebrains, waiting to be fooled with the quick patter of his paws. He escaped and into the wilderness he went. The fresh air breezed against his fur, quite seldom now with the state of these days. He stared back and chuckled to himself. Look at ShadowClan. They were mousebrains. He proved himself right. They were just walking and chatting. How dumb could they be?
His ears shot straight up into the air. Scent. He could hunt. He didn't have to wait. Owlkit pushed the thickets and brambles away.
Lizard. He licked his lips deviously. Why not start some trouble? Whip something quick up to occupy the warriors.
He grinned, then didn't even drop into a hunting crouch but laughed at the mere sight. The lizard squirmed and started running as fast as it could, its slimy legs making a dripping tapping noise against the earth. Quickly, Owlkit shot through the air with his quick instincts, a frantic look on his face. He tumbled over his paws, picking himself up, his green eyes glinting. What happened? All went too quickly. How was a kit of all cats expected to process that?
He made quite a racket. His eyes darted into the thicket. He pushed it away. He made a clear opening. Any cat could snuggle into that hole. He was ready for whatever cat came there. He was ready. While he made the tumbling sound, the Lizard escaped his paws. "NOO!" He squealed. Nothing was going his way. He unsheathed his claws This time. His paws were small and minuscule, but they could pack a punch. He growled.
