Dark, dreary, dull. Wolfkit needed something to do, and he needed it now. Who cares if they were meant to be asleep? Drag a wad of moss over to mothers stomach and it'd feel just like him. Not-Him was a perfect replacement. He wasn't going far, anyways. His plan was little, but his machinations were big. He needed an accomplice. He scared Hedgekit before, Fernkit could be bothersome. But Stagkit...
With a little devilish grin, he tiptoed over to his brother. With a swift bat to the brown and white kits rear, he whispered; "Wake up. I'm bored, I have a plan, you're helping." It was non-negotiable. He needed to do it now. He would need a bigger moss ball and maybe a leaf and someone to dig. And maybe carry it. He would just tell him what to do. That sounded perfect. "And be quiet about it! Don't wake Mother up. If you do, you're mouse-brained."
While Stagkit loved a good adventure, the tom was still very much a kitten, and very much liked his naps. Curled up near Momma, he stretched his limbs as far as they would go and smiled to himself, a gentle purr rumbling in his chest as he started to drift to sleep.
"Ow!" he yelped, his eyes going wide as Wolfkit smacked him. Stagkit jumped to his paws, his hackles raised and glared - more due to the fact of his nap being interrupted rather than due to being hit. Not even an option? Stagkit rolled his eyes and sighed. Fine. But only 'cause he knew Wolfkit would do it anyways regardless of whether or not Stagkit helped.
If Wolf was going to get up to no good, Stagkit might as well be there too.
"Alright but let's hurry. 'Fore Momma wakes up." he responded, giving a pointed look to the moss Wolfkit had left in his place.
So it was that kind of adventure. A we-will-definitely-most-likely-100%-be-getting-in-trouble-for-this type of adventure. So be it.
With one last look at Momma, the kit scampered out of the nursery, careful not to make too much noise and followed after his brother.

"My last ant-nest got trodden on. I need you to help me dig it out," Wolfkit said as soon as they had stepped out of the den. He turned to speak to Stagkit again when a shadow moved past them, and with a hushed hiss he shoved his brother into a darker nook. "Why do warriors have to be awake? How are we meant to do this now, ugh..."
He waited until he was sure the footsteps had passed, and then tugged at a tuft of Stagkits fur with his teeth to pull him back out. He stalked along the edges of camp and made a turn, mrrped at his brother to indicate their arrival, and squeezed through a small gap in a briar bush. The little thorns caught his fur and it hurt only a little, but still enough to irritate them.
"We both dig, and if anyone hears anyone, you're the distraction," He said, sliding to the opposite side of the darkened spot on the ground. His ant nest. He had been watching them most evenings, until someone had found them. They never knew what to do if you blew on them or stood over them. They scurried away. "If someone asks what you're up to out here, you're making dirt. Once they're free, we need to find more moss."
He unsheathed his claws in a dramatic, theatrical sort of way, and set to work. His tiny needle claws dug into the hard dirt and pulled it away piece by piece. He would free his little minions.
Ant-nest? Wolfkit was keeping an..ant nest. Like how Two-legs keep kittypets. Riiiight. "Oof!" he squeaked as he was shoved, giving his brother an annoyed look before fixing his fur. Stagkit rolled his eyes in response and watched the warriors pass them.
Being pushed once was a mere annoyance, being dragged twice nearly set the tom over the edge, "Is the pushing necessary?" he whisper-hissed, but didn't turn around. He was too far into the journey, he had already agreed and it was far too late to give up now. Plus an ant nest was intriguing. When they arrived Stagkit returned the vocalization and squished through the brambles.
"...Are they still there?" he asked, his tone filled with doubt. If someone had destroyed the nest surely the ants had made a new one some where else. Was digging in the dirt truly necessary?
Stagkit nodded and unsheathed his claws, pushing the dirt from the mound away in careful motions.
"What are the ants for anyhow?"

"If they're not here, I will find the warrior that covered it up and give them an ugly new scar," Wolfkit gruffed, standing to tussle with a rock that had been perfectly placed in the mouth of the nest. "But they should be. I saw a couple nearby so if they really aren't here, they're not too far away."
His paws were browned with mud by the time he dislodged the rock and flung it to the side. It skittered and bounced, coming to a halt a little away aways, and he resumed digging. "We'll know we've found it when we get a load of ants on our paws. They don't bite, usually. Just fling 'em off."
Stagkit posed a good question. He had many plans for these ants. He had found they weren't too tasty, so now they were just playthings. He hummed after his question and raised his head, that evil glint in his eyes that anyone who knew him could tell with ease that it was something diabolical.
"I want to get as many as we can on a wad of moss," He said hushedly. Secret plans needed quiet voices. "And then we're going to toss them in the warriors den. The last thing they'll expect is a kit doing it, so we'll be pretty much in the clear. And, StarClan forbid we get found, everyone loves you, so you can put on the kitten eyes and we're safe!"
