Sleepyhollow was up earlier than normal, her stomach twisting with nerves, how had her apprentice been caring in the harsh conditions? She had failed to check in like she wanted to, but there was always time. She waited by the entrance to camp for them.

Duskpaw made her way to the camp entrance, paws dragging with exhaustion. She’d been sick again but was finally back to training. Meeting her mentor’s eyes, Duskpaw nodded respectfully. “Morning, Sleepyhollow.”

“Good morning, let’s get going before I want to go back to bed, hm?” She purred with a slight yawn, she was trying to make light of the situation and hoped Duskpaw wasn’t too upset with her.

As they made their way out to the moor her eyes and ears were alert for signs of predators and the like.

The tall gangly calico turned heel and smiled, “Alright. Attack me.” She meowed, her muscles tensed with anticipation of her apprentice’s attack.
