Love is the flower you've got to let grow (c)

Laying on his back with his round stomach facing the warm sun that rested in the sky high above, Fuzzface let out a long and content sigh. He'd managed to slip away from his apprentice and clanmates, and the lack of souls around brought him an overwhelming amount of joy. Surprisingly enough, he hadn't gotten too many chances to visit the flower field that inhabited part of WindClan's territory and the stout grey warrior was glad that he'd had the time today. A gentle breeze stirred the assortment of colorful flowers that surrounded him, and hearing a 'buzzing' sound he peaked open one of his eyes to spot a plump bumblebee hovering a little too close for comfort. Flicking one of his short ears in a somewhat lazy effort to shoo the fuzzy, pollen-covered bug away, he closed his eyes once more. Nothing could possibly ruin this ever-so-tranquil day.

Lavendercloud was out for a walk. The sun was pleasantly warm on her brown-ish pelt and she stretched out happily as she strolled casually and slowly around the flower fields. The colorful flowers were a nice sight and she wondered about decorating about the den with them. She spotted fuzzface lounging about in the sunlight. He looked, similar-ish to herself, perhaps that’s why he was so handsome and good looking she figured to herself with a sly grin.

Grinning a bit she went over closer to him watching the bee buzz around him. Wonder if they have a nest nearby. Great for honey and all… course, I suppose you would know that you and your fancy recipes and all? she purred in greeting. Last time they had met and talked fuzz had told her all about the recipies he had for food. She always knew he was smart like that. “Maybe we will have to have dinner sometime together? You can teach me all about the ways you make food?” she meowed as casually as she could trying to keep the excited purr from being too clear.

(A little bit of ooc: She is a sweet cat, loving caring and all that a queen was but she also had a little bit of firey attitude too. Like a sweet and hot sauce if I had to compare her to something food related and of course in fuzz topics all food things are a go haha. She would give him plenty of snuggles/cuddles but also wouldn’t hesitate to bap him on the nose or call him out if he doing something silly lol)

Snapped out of his tranquil moment at some-cat's voice, the plump tom's mood defaulted to anger and annoyance that some-cat had followed him to the fields, but upon opening his eyes he almost lost his breath. Standing beside him and chatting about the bumblebee that buzzed about was Lavendercloud. Being her clanmate, he’d seen her more than plenty around camp and what-not, but seeing her amongst all the blooming petals brought a new light to her shapely complexion. The purple and yellow flowers that surrounded them perfectly complimented her pelt and the rays of sunlight above peacefully bounced off of her fuzzy fur, giving her a sort of glowing-like aura.

He'd never found himself speechless before and usually had a witty response to someone trying to make conversation with him, but as he stared at her with wide, dumbfounded eyes he found himself perplexed as the she-cat continued to speak. So much so that he almost entirely missed what she was saying. Giving his wide head a shake and clearing his throat, he sat up and held his posture up a little straighter than usual.

"I can do that," he mewed with a confident nod, meeting her amber gaze. Her eyes held so much warmth; a warmth he hadn't felt even amongst his few good friends. Why in StarClan's name was she so bewitching? And how? Well, whatever the reason was, hopefully he'd figure it out at some point and be able to pull himself together. "G-got any favorite tastes?" he mewed, almost choking on his first words and silently kicking himself for fumbling like that.

Lavendercloud tilted her head and gave a little bit of a smirk at him. This was not how she had seen him react to most of their other clanmates. Stuttering over himself, no witty comeback, no wanting to be left alone? Then also too, there was the fact that he had agreed to her request of going on a little dinner meal thing.


Hmm favorite tastes? "I do like honey a lot, but honey just by itself can be overwelmingly sweet I think, it needs a little bit of fire added to it, little bit of heat and spice. Don't you think?"

she tilted her head, "what we need to go with it is something that will really make it pop! Right?

he could probably tell by now that she loved food as well, but was still getting to know all the wonderous ways to combine them into something.


Her eyes lit up getting an idea, "Ginger! It's perfect, a bit of a nice spice with a kick.

she sat by his side inviting herself right on over since he was too busy stuttering over his words to invite her himself,
"Imagine, a nicely crushed ginger root mixed into some honey, then nicely garnish that on top of a rabbit?"

It seemed he had just been staring at her for a long while and she gave another smirk and gently poked at him a little, "boop! hello you awake?" she held back a bit of a snort laugh amused greatly by him and his little antics.

"You look like you just seen an angel... oh wait, maybe you did" she flirted full of confidence

He probably looked like a fool, but at least he had a valid excuse, though it wasn't as if he was going to tell any-cat that. Listening as she spoke about meal prepping and ingredients, he heart leaped and bounded up and down as if he was a bird floating on warm air currents. How did she know so much? None of his clanmates had ever shared such an interest or knowledge in this sort of thing. Even his old friend Batsong, who had been accepting of his love for delicious meals had never known as much as this she-cat that now sat right up against him.

Snapping out of his trance as she poked him with a fuzzy paw, Fuzzface couldn't help but chuckle at her last comment. He wasn't one to laugh, but Lavendercloud certainly had a confident way about her, especially when it came to talk with him, and he couldn't help but be amused by it all. "Yeah, I suppose I have," he mewed, a small smile growing on his naturally scrunched muzzle.

Before he was able to say anything else, some-cat's voice sounded in the distance, calling both of their names. They were most likely needed back at camp to help with the usual boring duties, and while he knew they had no choice but to go back, he wished this moment would never end.

"Well, I guess duty calls. And when I say duty, I don't just mean in terms of work," he mewed, giving his companion a wink of an eye as he pushed himself up. This time though, instead of just walking away like he usually did to others, he waited for the she-cat to join him. Perhaps they could prolong their little conversation and talk a bit more on the way home.
