Can the Sleepy Warrior Come out to Play?

Stormwatcher was pretty sure he did not have any hunting patrol he had to be on right now... and well if he did whoever was leading it would know where to find him since it was always the same place to look.


Curled up in the opening of the camp in a nice sunny spot he lay stretched out passed out in the middle of the day. His tail lazily smacked at the biting flies around but other than that he was completely out of it.

His deep snores could be heard even from across camp and were sure to be an interesting sound to any curious kittens around.....

Littlekit was outside playing with Whin when she heard a growling sound. Curious as to what was making the sound she started to follow the noise. Edging Whin to follow, littlekit soon found out the noise was non other than a warrior sleeping by the entrance. We should wake him up." she mewed to Whin wondering what the warrior would do when awoken.

Whinchatkit had been playing with Littlekit, messing around outside the nursery. It was not long before a low rumbling noise started to be heard from somewhere in camp. The tom's tail began to flick as he followed Littlekit towards the source of the rumbles. "Wake him up?! Flower- Littlekit... he's sleeping! He's probably tired after doing all the warrior stuff he has to do- no- don't!" Whinchatkit protested, hanging slightly behind the more enthusiastic kit. The tom covered his eyes with his tail, waiting for the sure to come bellow.

The sleepy warrior was deep in his slumber and even with the chattering kits approaching was sleeping soundly.

He rolled around a bit his paws twitching looking a little funny as he had a dream about chasing a squirrel.

His snores were just as loud maybe even louder now since they got closer

Littlekit watched as whin backed away but she didnt mind. She was about to have a lot of fun. Littlekit pretended to sneak up on the warrior and on her way picked up a stick, cause she didnt have big enough claws yet. As she neared, littlekit shool her fluffy behind before pouncing, poking the warrior with the stick pretending it was her slashing at him. She then let the stick go and nibbled on his ear.

Whinchatkit's eyes widened as he watched Littlekit stab the sleeping warrior with a stick. "This isn't gunna end well..." he whispered to himself in despair. Peering from under his tail, he saw that his friend was now having the time of her life, munching on the sleeping tom's ear.

When stormwatcher got poked by the stick he flicked his tail gently at it.

Gee these flies are getting pretty mean he thought to himself.


Then his ears were getting numed on and he slowly opened an eye a little lazily looking up at the kit sitting on him and nubbling his ear.

With a big yawn the gentle giant slowly woke up more. He was a big cat but pretty gentle especially to any kits... even if they did just wake him from his favorite activity (that activity of course being sleeping)

"No more good nap spots" he muttered yawning and stretching about.

He tried to keep from laughing as the kit on his head nibbled at his ear. It kind of tickled in a weird way.

"does it taste good at least?" he chuckled

He was sometimes a bit too lazy for his own good but at least he knew how to have fun with kits.

He glanced over to Whinchatkit and set his tail a little distance away from the kit who seemed a bit more shy. Every so often the warrior would flick the end of his tail so that Whinchatkit could pounce on it if wanted to.

"you two clearly have too much energy... maybe you need a game to keep you busy? he suggested

Littlekit stopped nibbling on the ear at the sound of a game. "What game? Is it fun?" she mewed happily and excitedly, all attention on waking him up forgotten. She loved the word game and it was a word that instantly made her hyper. She was still on him so littlekit pawed at him trying to get the answers out of him.

The tom felt relief when the now awake warrior did not lash out in anger. "I'm so sorry to bother you... I'm Littlekit! I mean- I'm Whinchatkit, and she's Littlekit." he stammered. His attention was then brought to the warrior's tail which had fallen within his reach. Enticed, the tom prowled closer. However at the mention of a game, he perked up and expectantly turned to the older tom. "There's just nothing to do in camp... everyone's busy doing their own things." he explained.

Stormwatcher glanced from side to side. He had heard earlier that Birdstar was okay with a little field trip of kits as long as it was well suprervised and taken care of and he nodded thinking about that.


"Nothing to do in camp??" he repeated a little grin appearing on the gentle giants face.

"well maybe a little adventrure outside of camp is what we need then?" he nodded hoping that would get them excited.


He flicked his tail slowly getting up and setting Littlekit down so she could follow.

"Ok rules are you need to stay where I can see you andd we are only going a little ways out and back got it?"

He remembered his first time out of camp was somthing about like this

Littlekit jumped around in circles in excitement. she had never left camp and was sooo ready to explore the new world. Camp was big but she still explored all of it, but outside was a new adventure. She wanted to stick her head in everything. she ran to the entrance to excited to keep still.

Whinchatkit's tail flicked with uncertainty. Kits weren't usually allowed outside of camp. Littlekit, however, had already dashed off leaving him to follow after her. They would be accompanied by a warrior, so it would be okay right...? "Flower- wait!" scrambling after her, the tom felt excitement building in his chest. They were about to go outside camp for the first time!
