Honeypaw's Moonstone Journey

Fawnshine

With the new traveling herbs gathered from her most recent outing, Fawnshine quickly got to work, adding one last leaf around the bundle of herbs to secure them together. The sun barely peeked through the clouds when she finished, rising slowly above the growing horizon stretching far ahead of the forest. The clan was still growing, though not as steadily as before, but still plenty enough warriors to defend the clan. One apprentice was to visit the Moonstone today, and that was no other than Honeypaw, a young she-cat Fawnshine hadn't interacted with much before. Still, this would be a brief opportunity for them to bond.

Quietly, she padded towards the apprentices' den, making sure to keep her steps as silent as she so that she wouldn't disturb the other sleeping felines. "Honeypaw?" She called out, quietly, "It's time for your Moonstone journey." Once the she-cat had awoken, Fawnshine set the herb bundle down in front of the apprentice's paws, gesturing for her to eat it. "It does not have the best scent, nor taste, but it will ease your exhaustion you along the way."

Fawnshine couldn't help but allow a small smile to spread across her maw, already expecting the reaction that most apprentices had to the not-so-pleasant-tasting herbs. Of course, she waited until Honeypaw was ready enough to begin their upcoming journey, offering a firm nod before she led the way up to Highstones.


The pathway where paws have long traced along their tracks soon led them across the Thunderpath, her heterochromia eyes kept focused on the apprentice the entire time to make sure of their safety. Her steps slowed to a halt right before the Mothermouth, pausing in watch to catch Honeypaw's attention on purpose. "Try to follow the tip of my tail, or my scent as best as you can. It'll be increasingly difficult for you to see once we head in." Once she was sure that the she-cat took mental note of her advice, Fawnshine guided her in. The bright shine from the Moonstone made her pupils sharpen to slits, eyes squinting for a few seconds before they finally adjusted to the newfound sense of light.

Stepping aside, she allowed Honeypaw to step up to the Moonstone. "Touch your nose to the stone, and Starclan should be able to take care of the rest. I'll be here if you need me, anytime."
