OOC: happens post gathering(?)

While other cats had seemed to take a disliking to the happenings at the recent gathering as well as the cat who'd caused such a hullabaloo, Fuzzface found himself not very bothered by it all. Yes, she'd meddled in places she should've kept her snout out of, but in the end oh well. Of course, his lack of caring was pretty usual for the tom when it came to other clan-wide occurrences, but even so she was still a good medicine cat and his friend. Not to mention, ostracizing her for daring to speak her mind seemed like an overall waste of energy.

Making his way over to the medicine cat den, Fuzzface stuck his head into the dimly lit area, his amber eyes blinking a few times in an attempt to help them adjust quicker. "Batsong, got any more of those berries?" the round warrior called out getting straight to business. Ever since she'd let him try some he'd been craving them and he'd finally gotten a moment to ask her for some more.

OOC: Sure sounds good to me

Batsong was currently lost in her own thoughts. All she had been able to think about the last couple days was the gathering. No matter what else she tried to focus on it lingered on and on in her mind.

All the angry voices at her, some angry at Nightstar too for what he had done. They kept playing over in her mind as she tried to focus on other tasks. Even forcefully trying to not think about it was not helping.

Her intentions were never to have it get that out of control at all. All she really had wanted to do was to give a warning to the clans that Nightstar was a dangerous cat and if left unchecked could get even worse. And secondly to make sure that no further evil things were occurring in either of the offending parties clans.

At first it had been all frustration at how it had turned out, but that quickly turned into feelings that she had let her clan down. She had wanted to get Amber and Russet justice for nearly dying at the paws of the tyrant Nightstar. And while she was proud of herself that she finally had grown a backbone to stand up to the bully that had been nothing but problems, she also felt an intense amount of regret for not handling it better.

However, one thing she would not have was the rise of yet another dictator. Her whole life she had lived under dictators. Through the Forgotten Order, Thorugh the Dark forest and now with Nightstar picking off her warriors and blinding them or leaving them nearly dead as he drug them back to camp.

She was so lost in her thoughts that the usually loud enough pawsteps from Fuzz had not alerted her and his voice made her jump slightly looking over at him.

"dgaah w-what!? WHAT?" she meowed frazzled and startled.

oh it was her friend Fuzzface? her fur laid back down along her back.

"B-berries??" she repeated.

"oh, r-right" she whispered nodding and passed him some from her organized stock of herbs that was well supplied currently.



She sat next to him enjoying one herself. She wasn't entierly sure if he was just here for berries though and for once the silence was not something she enjoyed. She wished he would say something... anything really

Glad that she didn't hesitate to grab him his requested snack, he sat down next to her. Leaning down, he took a bite. The juice flooded into his mouth and happiness overwhelmed him, though there was a deer in the den that loomed over the two of them and after a while of sitting in silence, the he let out a sigh. It was clear that she wasn't going to start any sort of conversation and while he usually wasn't the chatty type, words began to form on his tongue and begged for him to let them out. There's a fine line between being honest and rude, and unfortunately for his clanmates Fuzzface walked that line every day.

"What you did was quite a feat, I suppose," he mewed nonchalantly before taking another paw-full sized bite on the berries she'd given him. "Didn't ever think you'd have it in you, but here we are... and now every cat in the forest wants your pelt," the plump warrior added in a crass sort of manner, licking his chops. He certainly wasn't one to sugarcoat his words nor did it even cross his mind how what he said might affect his friend.

"But..." he sighed before continuing as he turned his gaze to the dark pelted she-cat. "I guess what's done is done. Now after all that excitement you get to go back to the regular 'ol medicine cat life. How exciting," Fuzzface shrugged, putting a sarcastic emphasis on the "exciting" part. Leaning down to grab another bite of the berries, he stopped half way as he realized they were already gone. Letting out a disgruntled huff, he sat back up. He swore there had been more than that...

Batsong glanced at him as he munched on his snack and talked.

After he had finished she just gave a long pause thinking for a bit as she looked out at the camp with a 1000 yard stare.

When she finally glanced back over after thinking he was out of his snack. Batsong shrugged finally.

"G-guess I f-finally grew a backbone" she mewed quietly giving her friend a little nudge playfully

"as for every c-cat being angry.... W-well no one likes the bearer of bad news that t-the next Dawnhawk is on the r-rise. B-but at least now they know of his t-treachery."

She rolled her eyes a little amused at his comments of the excitement of med cat life. "uh huh... l-long as no more porcupines come along she muttered quietly winking at him joking just a little in a playful spirit.

He supposed he found himself a bit happy for her that she at least didn't seem to have any major regrets about her decision, seeing as though the other clans certainly hadn't taken such news lightly. Stretching out his paws as she spoke, he let out a small chuckle at her comment. "Yeah well, I certainly learned my lesson," the plump warrior mewed, shivering at the thought of having to face another one of those prickly beasts.
