Pink Smoke [closed]

Wide blue eyes scanning the pines above, Astershine slowly, quietly travelled a faint path. At first, he'd left camp for a breath of fresh air, but soon his paws wandered and took him to some of the farthest edges of the territory. It was no problem, though, he'd eaten earlier that morning and was full of energy. He'd be able to make it back with little trouble.

While he was here, he thought, he might as well bring something back. Raising his ears, he listened to birdsong as it echoes between the trees, picking out a call that was close to him - close to the ground. Although there was no longer snow for his pale pelt to blend into, the Skyclanner stayed low to the ground, creeping along the forest floor until the bird in question came into his sights. It was a robin, curiously poking the forest floor. Narrowing his focuses, he crept closer to the bird, launching himself, claws pinning down it's wings and jaws closing around it's neck. There wasn't enough time for the bird to cry out a warning, for it was fresh-kill before it was able to react.

Looking up from his kill, between a few trees, Astershine spotted the fence. The one that separated Skyclan from the Twolegplace. After tucking the robin away for his return home, the Skyclanner curiously padded up to the fence, squinting through a hole in the wood. It smelled - both the wood and the air around it. The wood was different than that of the trees in the forest, it was unnatural. From between the vertical boards, the smells of the Twolegplace seeped through, causing Astershine to scrunch his nose in disgust. "Ough."
