Sunpaw's Moonstone Journey

Sunpaw was in shock at Mudfoot’s words. Sablestrike had said all the clans were equal, but now only his own Clan mattered? The idea that his mentor could make a mistake wasn’t necessarily new to him, but he had trusted him on the important matters. Still, the StarClan cat made sense, and he obviously knew what he was talking about more than an ordinary warrior! Meeting Mudfoot’s eyes, Sunpaw gave a nod. “That… makes a lot of sense,” he mewed. A strange feeling tugged at him, it was time to wake up. “Thank you, Mudfoot. I hope to see you again someday.”

Glad that Sunpaw had seemed to understand what he had shared, Mudfoot gave a respectful dip of his head. "Of course," he mewed as he began to back up, ready to return to what he'd been doing before. "May StarClan light your path," the amber tom added as he watched the young tom begin to disappear back to the world of the living. Hopefully he wouldn't forget what he'd been told today.
