Subject: Occupy Your Time [Birdchaser] Tue 6 Dec 2022 - 10:28
Things hadn't exactly settled down, not at all. Wolfblossom had been trying to keep busy, both to help the clan, and to keep her mind off of just how many things had gone wrong recently. Fresh-kill was always needed, but even hunting was proving to be less of a distraction than she would have liked. It only reminded her that this wasn't Skyclan territory, and that reminded her that everything had gone sideways.
Padding back into the hollow, Wolfblossom glanced around, taking note of which of her clanmates were within the shade of the great oaks. The idea that any of them could be lost... She shook her head. Dwelling on it wouldn't help anyone, much less those who had disappeared already.
"Birdchaser!" Wolfblossom was always glad to spot one of her siblings, padding forward and affectionately bumping the deputy's shoulder. "What's up? Think Plumleaf would let you spar?" Wolfblossom was hardly a medicine cat, of course, but if they could spar... Sparring was good. Even if they couldn't fight the twolegs, there were always other things that would demand combat of them eventually.

Birdchaser
Birdchaser was lost in thought, as she often was. It seemed like she spent even more time dwelling quietly in her mind, recounting everything she could remember from recent days. She did what she could to keep herself busy, but it was hard to find something to do away from Fourtrees before nerves got the best of her and she came hurrying back to make sure SkyClan hadn't disappeared under her nose. They were there every time, thank the stars, but it was fine that she couldn't keep herself away for too long. There was plenty that needed done around the clearing; Plumleaf would need help recounting what herbs she'd lost and what she'd managed to regather, the queens and elders and kits always needed looking after, work was needed to make sure that everyone had at least a nest where they could not rebuild dens. Birdchaser sighed. So much to do, and so little time, and energy, and–
The sound of her name and a bump against her shoulder pulled her from her thoughts. Immediately she turned, smiling brightly at the cat who approached her. "Hi, sister," she purred, bending down to bump her head against Wolfblossom's in return. It was always nice to talk with her sister, and even better when the conversation didn't involve the world ending. A spar– that would be nice. Birdchaser worked best in sparring, and it would be a good way to stretch her muscles without worrying herself too much. "Oh, Plumleaf can be mad at me later. I can't sit around and waste away over my leg, right? Or miss out on a chance to beat you." She snickered, and her smile grew just a little wider as she stepped a few paces away.
Once distance was between them, Birdchaser didn't wait for a response or any sort of official start. They were both well-trained warriors; they didn't need someone to teach them how to fight, and trouble wasn't keen on giving you a chance to prepare. Birdchaser kicked off hard, biting her tongue against the pain that shot up her leg and almost made her stumble, large forepaws outstretched to bowl into Wolfblossom.
Birdchaser used Jumping Strike, dealing 13 (10+3) damage and costing 7 SP.
Birdchaser [disadvantaged] 55/55 HP 103/110 (-7) SP

"Beat me? I think you're losing it, sitting around here." Wolfblossom smirked at her sister. "Maybe a spar will be good for you after all." She teased.
Birdchaser, it seemed, wanted to start sparring immediately. "Oh no you don't." Wolfblossom growled at her sister playfully as the other bowled into her, quickly regaining her paws and aiming to yank Birdchaser backwards by the tail. That would show her!
Wolfblossom used Tail Yank for -15 sp, dealing -10 damage. Birdchaser is stunned for this turn.
