When Dandelionflight's kits had been born, Birdchaser had admittedly been surprised. She never fashioned herself as one to keep an eye on the Clan's budding relationships, but still, she couldn't remember seeing the senior warrior looking particularly cozy with anyone. Either way... kits were here now, and they were six moons old. Hopefully they'd make good, proud warriors like their mother had. Raising her voice, the deputy yowled, "Let all cats old enough to climb the trees, gather beneath the Tallbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Dandelionflight left the nursery as a clan meeting was called. She was almost sure what it would be for. She pulled Drizzlekit close to her and gave them a few licks on their head. Willowpaw had been made an apprentice earlier, so she hoped this would be Drizzlekit's ceremony.

Drizzlekit followed their mother into the camp and watched the cats gather around the tree branch. They felt their mother pulling them close; they purred at her warm licks. He was a bit nervous for his ceremony. It was really important, and he didn't want to mess it up! They wiggled out of their mother's grasp and sat next to her, waiting for what was next.

It wasn't long before Dandelionflight arrived with kit in tow, and Birdchaser offered the pair a polite nod. She waited a beat for the rest of her Clanmates to gather before raising her voice once more to begin the ceremony properly. "Drizzlekit, please step forward." There was another lull as Birdchaser waited for the kit to step forward. In the quiet space, her gaze lifted to scan the rest of the crowd, searching for an familiar face with a crooked expression. Shaking herself out, she refocused, flicking her tail towards Drizzlekit. "You have reached the age of six moons, and so it is time for you to become an apprentice. From this day until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Drizzlepaw. Your mentor will be... Trufflesnap." Birdchaser's eyes narrowed, but she quickly straightened her expression into neutrality. "She will teach you well."

Trufflesnap was surprised for a brief moment, before a smirk crossed her face as her sister narrowed her eyes. Oh, how glorious this was. Stepping forward, Trufflesnap greeted her new apprentice, Drizzlepaw, with a nose touch as customary. She was very excited for this chance.
