❒ The young warrior hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings as she mentally sifted through her mental list of tasks she had to get done—a usual occurrence for her. It was almost a daily ritual for her. She was normally too scatterbrained to properly function so in order to keep even a semblance of organization in her life, she had been forcing her mind to keep busy with a mental checklist of sorts. It was working, to an extent. She would usually be quick to notice an inexperienced kit getting into some obvious, yet playful mischief but she had been too distracted. She'll have to rework her whole system so she wouldn't be caught off-guard in the future...

❒ "Woah! Hey there!" she sputtered out as a small figure forcefully bumped into her. She felt them kick her side but her mind was lagging too far behind to even process much. As soon as it had finally caught up, she blinked a few times. A young tom-kit was staring at her, all cutely fluffed up and ready to "rumble". He made for a truly adorable sight but she didn't want to say anything of the sort in case he was someone who got offended by such remarks. At first, she had wanted to just brush the whole encounter off and go back to her tasks but decided on spending some time with the kit. He seemed to be quite proud of his "achievement" and Brookstone didn't want to squish that. Everyone knew she was a big softie for kits. In her defense, they were just cute fluff balls with legs and big, emotional eyes. Small and endlessly curious. She'd be caught dead before making any of her cute "little fishies" sad. Big Sister Brookstone lived to treasure and protect her endless supply of siblings.

❒ She cracked a grin but wiped it off as she dramatically flopped onto her side and then pretended to "die". "Urgh!" she cried out before making her limbs go stiff and her tongue to stick out. She knew she looked silly but she didn't care. It was fun playing with kits. Anyway, she'd always had a flair for the dramatics. Anyway, she wanted to see how he'd react to him "taking her down".

❒ Brookstone couldn't keep away the smirk that was forming on her face as she peeped at the young kit as he smugly paraded around—kits were so cute. She definitely couldn't hold back the snicker as she felt him try to drag her by the scruff. The issue was obviously their size and age difference but it seemed like he didn't process that information fast enough before becoming frustrated. He then decided to take that frustration out on her poor tail. She felt touched at how careful he was being. Some kits weren't quite as aware when goofing around.

❒ The brown tabby molly grinned and lifted her tail from his grasp. She moved it around as if it were a snake before having it descend on him and then booping him wherever she could reach. She tickled his nose and poked his belly. No place was safe from the "snake's" wrath! For added effect, she even made a few breathy hissing sounds. They were close enough to the real thing—it's what she told herself anyway.
