Stormpaw's Warrior Ceremony

❒ Brookpaw had been watching her friend's warrior ceremony begin to unfold with bright eyes. She was more than proud and ecstatic for Stormpaw. She had seated herself right beside him when Perchstar had announced that the meeting would be about Stormpaw's ceremony. She had nearly jumped up onto her paws in excitement, however, she wisely restrained herself. It was best to save all her boisterous energy for after the ceremony was finished. She shot him a grin—giving him an accompanying nudge for extra measure. "Get up there, tiger! Time for ya to shine!" He truly did deserve to finally join in with the warriors after working so hard. The clan also needed some good news for once. A warrior ceremony was always a reason to celebrate and be joyous.

❒ Brookpaw had been impatiently waiting for the ceremony to progress to the point of where she could finally jump up and tackle the furball in celebration. She kneaded the ground with her claws—a common tic of hers that happened when she was anxious or eager. The closer to the end it got, the closer she leaned forward. She never took her eyes off the dark-furred apprentice as she waited.

❒ The moment Storm's name was revealed, Brookpaw couldn't force down the toothy grin that took over her face. Stormdance. That was one awesome warrior name! She hoped that hers would be even half as great. Honestly, the furball deserved it and she couldn't be prouder. Judging by the obvious prideful face Owlshriek was wearing, he was feeling the exact same way. Good. If he hadn't been, she would've marched right over there and given him a piece of her mind. No mercy to those who hurt her friends in any way. Even the smallest offense warranted at the very least a smack.

❒ She jumped up as soon as it was allowed and she rushed right over, shoving over some that were in her way. "Outta da way! Close friends first an' all that!" She beamed the moment she made it over to Stormdance. "Stormdance! Congratulations you furball!" She purred and bumped her shoulder into his. "Look at ya. I think you even grew a bit more during the ceremony," she joked, eyes twinkling vibrantly. "You got a great warrior name. I hope ta get one just as cool. Time'll tell and all that I guess." She lifted her tail and placed it atop his upper back before continuing, "Hey, hey, hear me out, why don't ya take me out to help me train and stuff now that you're a warrior? Only when you're not swimming in your new duties though. I can use the extra support to improve my moves. Maybe you can even give me some tips again." She waggled her brows. Honestly, she just wanted to spend more time with the one she considered her closest friend. He had been her first, true friend as well. She wanted more time to hang out.
