Subject: Rosepaw's Warrior Ceremony Thu 23 Jun 2022 - 13:29
Once again the tom was ascending the Jaggedrock, giving a few quick licks of his long fur before reaching the edge of his perch. Another warrior ceremony in such a short time, but that was always how it seemed to go. Immediately cats had begun to notice his presence looming over them, and had begun to preemptively start to gather beneath the rock. With a nearly imperceptible sigh, Froststar got to work. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" He wasn't sighing because he had to do his job, he just wished cats would wait before gathering. It just... bothered him.
Rosepaw was one of the few cats that hadn't noticed her leader preparing for a meeting. Honestly, she was just lost in her own head. She was starting to gain back some of her energy, sure, but she was also starting to, shockingly, resemble Mistyfalcon a lot as well. The Clan was probably thankful because of it, to be honest. Her pranks had dwindled until she no longer even attempted to start them, she was more diligent in her duties as well. That wasn't to say she never had any fun. But she had calmed down quite a bit as well.
She had been speaking with Swiftheart when Froststar's call rang out through the camp. With the creation of Marshmallow's friend group, she had begun to enjoy spending more time with her sister. After all, they were always close, Marshmallow had just brought them closer, it seemed. With a quick departing grin, Rosepaw made her way to the gathering crowd, pushing her way into a spot. And then she waited for whatever it was Froststar had to say.
Swiftheart sat with her sister happily. They were always close and she grinend to herself thinking about the time she snuck her out as a kit to have a look around. It was alot of fun and no harm came of it.
They were both in the awesome friend support group that marshmallow had made and swiftheart really liked that idea.
When froststar called for a meeting she turned her head curiously looking up at the leader as to what this was about

Froststar watched silently as the apprentice he was to name pushed her way into a spot. It was certainly one way to find one, he supposed. With that, he began her ceremony. "ShadowClan! I've summoned you here today to witness the naming of a new warrior. Rosepaw, please step forward." Frostgaze allowed Rosepaw to step forward before continuing. "I call upon all those present and watching to gaze upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of our noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Rosepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Rosepaw's eyes widened as her name was called. Part of her may have felt a little smug, too. She doubted Leafpaw was watching, but if she was, Rosepaw would have so rubbed this in her sister's face. She wasn't about to be the last one to make it to warrior after all!
Instead, she did as Froststar said, stepping forward and making her way to the front of the crowd. The moment of truth. These next words would be what would decide her future.
There was always a certain amount of relief that flooded through Froststar's head when an apprentice said the two words 'I do'. He wasn't entirely sure what he would do if they said no! Regardless, he hadn't expected a no from Rosepaw, and was happy to finally bestow her warrior name. "Then it is my honor to name you a warrior before all witnesses present. Rosepaw, from this day forward you will be known as Roseburn. ShadowClan honors you, and we are proud to welcome you as a warrior in our ranks." With that done, the tom leaped down, licking Roseburn's shoulder quickly before stepping back and allowing others to congratulate the new warrior.
Mistyfalcon watched the ceremony, the tired hint of a smile curving his mouth as another of his kits became a warrior in her own right. Roseburn had had plenty of setbacks, but she had earned her place and he was proud of her. Once the ceremony concluded, he padded forward, fluffy tail lightly flicking across his daughter's shoulder. "Congratulations, Roseburn," He mewed softly. "I'm proud of you." Batglow, he thought, would be proud too.
