Loudmouth [c]

Hawthornkit wished to sleep peacefully. He was growing, and growing kits needed their rest. At least that's what his mother said. The tom-kit tried to sleep within her warmth, but the noise of other kits made it too difficult. The nursery always felt so crowded with annoyances. Hawthornkit thought he and his mother deserved their own den. Then there would be no more loudness. But no, he had to share his precious space. Now that he couldn't sleep, he grew annoyed. The tom-kit rose to his soft paws. These kittens must know that they woke him. They must know how rude they were to do so. Maybe then he'd feel better.

One kit seemed to be the most rambunctious of them all. Hawthornkit advanced towards her, swishing his tail back and forth like a snake. "Could you please be any quieter? I don't even understand how someone can be that loud and bothersome. Cats are trying to sleep you know, or can you not realize?" the tom snapped, growing confident. He swiped at her pretty ears, "Do these work? Hello?"
