Family Catch-ups [Fuzzypaw, Snakepaw]

His kits have already grown closer and closer to warriorhood each moon passing, and Duskflight made sure to have occasional catch-ups every now and then, just so they wouldn't get so disconnected from each other. Both of them were busy, of course, though he made sure to ask their mentors first before anything. With a short, yet warm purr, the tom approached one of them — Snakepaw. He was just around the apprentices' den, seemingly free of tasks. Duskflight sat beside him, his tail curling around his own paws. "Hello," He smiled, "How's your training been going? I hope everything's all well?"

Snakepaw wasn't shocked to see Duskflight and his father's presence was welcome enough. The warrior had entertained his antics as a kit - some that still lingered to this day. Immediately his nose raised and he shifted his shoulders slightly in a shrug, "Rookfire is okay. I like the training well enough. Someday I'd like to catch you a rat and I haven't done that yet." He meowed casually, picturing the creature's head torn from it's body, left as a fanciful prize for his father. Turning his head back down to the stuck beneath his claws, he worried his teeth into the worn wood and picked at splinters here and there. Shredding it had been Rookfire's idea, and admittedly, it kept him busy enough. A cat who somewhat understood him was a good thing.

Fuzzypaw had been a recluse for the past half moon, it felt like. Between prophecies and herbs and Clan injuries… it was a lot.

He spotted Duskflight and Snakepaw and approached them.

“Hey,” the big fluffy brown tom huffed, taking a seat next to Duskflight. “It’s been super busy lately…”

"Well, thank you, Snakepaw," He chuckled, amused by his son's quick response. Then, another pleasant figure appeared. Fuzzypaw, their medicine cat apprentice, as well as his second son. "Hello, Fuzzypaw," He purred. "Well... I could only wish you the best. Once things are better, I'd love to help you both out someday."

But for now, what was happening was more concerning. When would disasters finally end? When would this disaster end? Questions swirled in his head, yet he wanted to make sure his priorities of attention to his kits were first. "Aside from training, what have you both been up to?"
