Fawnpatch

That aggravating Nightstalker takes up a lot of Frostedpaw’s time, which drove Fawnpatch up the wall. She had all the time in world to spend with Frostedpaw, but she didn’t know how much her apprenticeship with Nightstalker would counteract what she was trying to do. The bright side was that her time with Frostedpaw when she was a kit seemed to have really endeared the child to her. It would make it that much harder for Nightstalker to actually have an effect. Even so, she hated not having her full attention at all time.

“Frostedpaw,” Fawnpatch greeted her. “We’re going to do some training while Nightstalker is busy with his patrol. Come along.” She flicked her tail in emphasis and led the apprentice out of the camp. Without the risk of any overprotective warriors at her back, Fawnpatch relaxed. She could have a wonderful time with Frostedpaw.

She lifted her head and glanced down at the apprentice. “Now. I’m sure that Nightstalker already has taught you the basics: how to hunt, where the borders are, the pesky warrior code. I’m here to teach you what he won’t..” She stopped and turned to face Frostedpaw fully, and she sat down. “Let’s begin with the warrior code. Tell me what you know, little one.”
