Subject: Fighting Shadows. [C] Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:49 pm
Petalpaw was sick of those shadows. The souls of evil dead cats. She wanted to kill them all, but she knew she couldn't. She would need the help of all the clans...
Petalpaw walked over to the warriors den, in hopes to find her brother. "Pineheart!" She called. "Can you come outside?" Petalpaw sat outside, with some cats eyes watching her.
Pineheart swiftly got up and began to slowly walk in in Petalpaw's direction. "Yeah, sure! I'll be right over!" He said as he made it over to his sister. "What's on your mind, Petal?" He purred out to Petalpaw while he gave her a light and friendly touch to show his brotherly love and affection towards her as he settled down. "Talk away!" He said in a lighthearted manner, smiling softly at Petalpaw.
Vinethorn watched the RiverClan camp through narrowed eyes. She had been stationed here by Morningstar to monitor them. She was glad to be able to see the fear in these fishfaces' eyes. They deserved it.
Getting back to the task at hand, Vinethorn scanned the clearing for anything interesting happening. One of the apprentices called over to someone in the warrior's den. A brown tom appeared from its shadows. Pine...something... was his name, not that she cared. She looked down disinterestedly at her claws, though keeping her ears pricked to listen to their conversation.
Whitesnake stretched out at the edge of camp near where Vinethorn sat, quite enjoying the feel of the sun on his forever-sodden fur. The warmth had the dark forest cat seemingly relaxed, golden eyes half-closed as he gazed out over Riverclan's camp. His ears twitched with the sounds of cats talking however, indicating that he was not wholly disinterested in the goings-on around camp. One of the apprentices had approached the warriors' den, calling for... Pineheart. Not a tom Whitesnake was terribly familiar with. "Should we join them?" He murmured, voice low enough just for Vinethorn's ears.
Rushtalon was only vaguely familiar with the cats that gathered near the mouth of the den. He'd been roused from his sleep by Pineheart waking. It did not take much, his sleep had hardly been peaceful for some time. Blinking away the drowsiness, the young warrior followed after. Petalpaw was there to greet his denmate and clearly had something to say. Their affection towards each other reminded him they were siblings and he hoped he hadn't woken to interrupt a conversation between kin. The large tom ducked his head slightly and meowed, "Is there something going on?"
Flurrypaw was always interested in whatever her clanmates were doing, and a small group was beginning to form outside the warriors' den. The excitable young cat made her way over to them as quickly as her paws could carry her, waving her tail in greeting. "Petalpaw!" she waved to her denmate first, the one she was most familiar with. Still, she made an effort to recognize each of her clanmates regardless of familiarity. "Pineheart! Rushtalon! Oohhh, is something happening?"
Rushtalon emerged from the warriors den, following Pineheart. "No, no. I just wanted to talk to my brother-" Petalpaw was interrupted by Flurrypaw, a fellow apprentice."Hi Flurrypaw!" Petalpaw waved back with her tail. She awkwardly tried to cope with all the cats surrounding her.
"Hello, Flurrypaw, Rushtalon!" Pineheart said happily "Nothing happening at the moment. He said, just as Pineheart heard Petalpaw ask her question, he stood back up. "Oh! Sure, where to?" Pineheart inquired in a quiet whisper while he quickly shook his head fluff and groomed his silky fur to something more smooth than what it was when he woke up from his light and delicate snooze.
