Featherfrost carefully stepped from the warrior's den, blinking at the bright sunlight that was filtering into the camp. It was early, the sun was low in the sky still, just high enough that the sun's glare was more of nuisance than it would've been were it an hour later in the day. Featherfrost found that with the warmer weather, she was at least enjoying the longer days. Shadows still lurked everywhere around camp, because of course they did, but the long-furred tortoiseshell found that they were a little less frightening in broad daylight. Their grotesque, forever-bleeding wounds were more visible, of course, but at least she didn't have to wonder where they were or be fearful of one hiding in the shadows like they'd been born to it. And sitting in a patch of sunshine, the warmth seeping into her fur was pleasant, at the very least.
Swanmist was rather wary of the Dark Forest cats. They clearly didn't want to kill the clans, but they didn't mind hurting anyone or squeezing into spaces they weren't very welcome in.
She'd give the occasional smile to any Dark Forest cat. Hoping that if she pretended to like them, it'd keep her family safe. Her appearance was still pretty gloomy, but that was pretty much her usual look, even when she was still living in Riverclan.
She excited the warriors den, wincing as the sunlight hit her pupils. Turning away from the sun, she found she was staring at another warrior. One that was also not originally from Thunderclan, but apart from that, they really didn't have many similarities, but Swanmist didn't know Featherfrost too well, she was unsure if she was even looking at the cat she thought was Featherfrost.
She waved her tail slowly in greeting, shuffling out of the way of waking warriors and closer to the she-cat.
Featherfrost closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the warmth on her pelt. Blinking, she recognized the sound of pawsteps headed in her direction, and turned her head towards the pale she-cat that was approaching. "Ah... Swanmist, right? Hi." She thought the she-cat's name was Swanmist, at least. If she was wrong, well... That would be embarrassing. She knew little about the other she-cat save for that she too wasn't originally from Thunderclan. The knowledge had made Featherfrost wary of her presence, but so far she'd shown her nothing that would indicate she was disloyal or planning an attack. That was good, she'd decided. No treachery meant one less thing to put her siblings' safety in jeopardy.
