Chivekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstorm came up to the Tallbranch again.  The sun was high and they days recently began getting warmer.  This would normally be something to celebrate, but with the new Dark Forest cats surrounding them at all times, it was not easy to be happy about anything.  She looked out at the crowd of cats filling Skyclan.  There were many more than normal, at least that's how it looked.  Many of them were Dark Forest spirits.

"All cats old enough to climb a tree, gather at Tallbranch for a clan meeting!" She called out to them.

Checking with her mother for the go ahead, Chivekit trotted out of the nursery, curious why she was allowed to come out today.

Chivekit, please step forward," Ashstorm called out to the kit once she spotted her.

"You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From today until the day you finish your training and become a warrior, you will be known as Chivepaw.  Your mentor will be Driftcloud.  He is a good warrior who I'm sure will teach you well." With that, she nodded in congratulations to the new apprentice and jumped down the Tallbranch.
