A second meeting [closed for Arcana]

Softfall stalked through the thunderclan forest out hunting again, his eyes darting from side to side as he searched for anything that could feed his starving clan. It was grim luck today and the entirety of the forest appeared to be dead with no sign of life at all. Days like today made him frustrated on how little land Thunderclan had and he directed his rage on his usual target of riverclan. Subconciously he headed toward the Riverclan border as well wanting to check that no further intruders were trying to get in. Earlier he had caught a young she cat trespassing and although he had not directly seen her steal prey he was sure that was why she was there.

During the gathering he had killed a riverclan apprentice in cold blood... his feelings surrounding that were still complicated. He was an extreme thunderclan loyalist that would do anything that might help his clan even evil acts such as that if it meant helping thunderclan... his version of helping thunderclan was rather twisted obviously but he only did it because he reasoned it would give them an advantage over their rival riverclan neighbors. ...

what if that apprentice had a family? a small voice asked him. He growled and quickly shut that voice out. She would have become a Riverclan warrior in no time and then she would be just as ruthless and unforgiving as the rest of them and helped to further take more of thunderclans already depleted land eventually starving his clan out entierly.... it was a preventative action he convinced himself with a scowl... he would never question his actions like that again as he returned to being stone faced not revealing anything best he could. He grinned thinking about how he had also been brave enough to take on a full grown warrior back then as well even though at the time he was but an apprentice. A dark forest cat had actually helped him out of that situation and he grinned thinking about how he had watched the riverclan cat helplessly struggle against the dark forest cat. Riverclan had brought that upon themself he convinced himeself... They probably threw the forest out of balance when they hogged up all the land and now starclan was gone thanks to them.

He made extra sure to stay on his side of the border but he went right to the edge of what was Thunderclan's staring out at the Sunningrocks. He glared at them... one day they would belong back to their rightful owners of thunderclan he would ensure it! Then maybe riverclan could know how it felt to go to bed hungry night after night. To know what it was like to have to choose between feeding the kits that day or the elders. He raked his claws along the frozen ground. Riverclan would pay for what they had done in taking all his land he just needed more time. Something he had plenty of currently and he would be patient as he could but the urdge to slip across the border right now was strong as ever. He restrained for once but not because of any ethical delima, he heard someone coming a ways away... who was that?? he wondered he tried to smell at the air but he could not distinguish a certain cat based on smell ... he also did not know where they were coming from exactly... he went tense and made sure he was on his side as he suspiciously glanced around.

yeah idk ... Softfall was gonna stay on Thunderclans side of the border for the meeting but I think that if I post under this general area he is in sunningrocks... idk exactly how this works but ill throw invasion dice cause like just in case haha

Every day, it haunted her. If only she could've been faster— quicker— somehow, she would've saved Beaverpaw from being killed. Hollyleaf set off to patrol, hoping to get her mind off of the apprentice's death for once... but still, it haunted her. Their memories— there, at Sunningrocks. She was determined to get there. If not to reminisce back, then to attempt to be of use to her clan. All five clans.. reluctantly had to accept unwanted guests. Those that came from the 'Dark Forest'.. she bit her inner cheek.

Perhaps it was her thoughts that continuously occupied her, that made her unaware of the threat from the other side of the border. Sunningrocks. Her nostrils, though sensing something, she ignored it. She wasn't in the mood for getting new scars now, and not later, either.

Softfall kept low to the ground and he was able to see a warrior that he recognized! It was that warrior from the gathering who was standing next to Beaverpaw before he... took care of her... anger built inside him as he watched her prance around sunningrocks like she owned it... well she did ... for now but he hated that fact and he wanted so desperatly to finish what he had started that night at the gathering, he had attacked her too but she proved too great an opponent at the time.

None the less he had enjoyed watching a dark forest cat rip her apart soon afterwards... how unfortunate that she had recovered so quickly. Riverclan must be doing well which made him angry and frustrated. How was he ever going to defeat his rival clan if they were able to heal their cats so quick? They had an abundnse of prey that thunderclan did not have the luxery of so that must have helped.... all the same it seemed to softfall there was only one way to prevent such riverclan recoveries in the future.

His heart beat faster as he made up his mind. Was he insane... hmm maybe but he reminded himself that this was all for the good of thunderclan and he would do anything for his clan... Sorry she - cat this wasnt personal ... well maybe it was a little bit.

He crept closer stalking like he would prey and when within range he leapt at the unsuspecting she cat and bowled into her with outstretched paws and claws!

"ya miss me?" he hissed

All of a sudden, an all-too-familiar scent hit her— and that was when Hollyleaf knew it was too late.

Softpaw.

She staggered back, bowling over to the ground with a yowl as she was caught unexpectedly. Though instinctively, her claws told her to reach for him, and so she did— aiming to slash his front legs to get him to let go, however possible. She hissed, ears pinned back. This apprentice really had no morals, whatsoever.  Still seeking bloodshed and more, he'd blindly aimed for her, a way more experienced warrior. Perhaps then, they could've talked things out— but Softpaw apparently.. was more focused on taking on his hatred for RiverClan.

"Not once. Especially after what you did to her, never," She hissed back, teeth gritting, "You spared her no mercy."

Hollyleaf used Front Paw Strike and Desperate Blows, dealing 13 damage and using 14 SP!

the evil tom hissed as the more experienced warrior quickly hit back with heavy blows that stung.

He sneared and struck back as hard as he could with his paws and seeing an opening snapped down on hollyleaf as well!

Of course he'd only continue to think that.

She snarled as jaws clamped down on her, rearing back to counterattack the tom. He seemed more skilled, and less of an apprentice now... though, still stubborn as ever. With teeth lunging for the tom's tail, she bit hard, sharply pulling him over to the side of the smooth stones. "I had a feeling you wouldn't listen to me," She narrowed her eyes, letting go of Softpaw's tail.

"Every clan, not just yours, or mine, suffers this season. With the Dark Forest cats now looming over us, fighting over territories would only cause more chaos. We didn't starve you, nor take your land because we wanted for you to suffer— we had to. The Gorge has already been taken away from our grasps from the start," She growled lightly. Hopefully, Softpaw would've finally decided to listen. If not... she dreaded for the futile fight to continue.

Hollyleaf used Tail Yank, dealing 8 damage and using 15 SP. Softfall is stunned for one turn!

OOC: like we mentioned, Holly can ko him and then if she wants she can talk to him from there and they can have some conversation :) or she can do anything else she wants to as well. Oh but dont actually kill him... im not allowed to have murder topics for a little bit after april 11th I can but not till then

Softfall was stunned and saw stars floating around as his tail was yoinked he fell to the ground and blinked rapidly trying to recover.  His body was starting to weaken and he knew deep down he would not be able to win this fight.  He tried to get to his paws but the stun had worked quite well and he fell back over and tried to scamble away in a desperate attempt.

Her words echoed in his (mostly empty XD haha) head.  He tried to make sense of it all but between his stupidity and the pounding in his ears from being stunned it was too hard to focus on a quick clever comeback.

Softfall is stunned this turn and cannot attack

He tried to squirm away on the ground but did not get far... He looked up at her through the hazeiness of the stun and tried not to look scared. He was losing this fight bad and knew that Hollyleaf now held his fate entirely  "A-...Are you going to kill me?" he rasped.

"make it fast" he said glaring at her eyes still burning with some level of anger, but also the smallest amount of confusion as to why she hadnt ended him yet... Riverclan was supposed to be violent greedy cats right??

At the amount of exasperation the ThunderClan apprentice has spoken, she shook her head, eyes still firmly narrowed onto the tom. "No," She'd mew, voice lowering to a whisper. "I'd never repeat the same thing you've done, no matter how horrid. That'd only make me another murderer, and both our clans don't need any more rivalry than we already have now." Taking the moment the tom was stunned, she made her attack, this time, claws sheathed. There didn't need to be more bloodshed, he was already too exhausted to continue. Lunging forward, she rammed the tom's head with a sheathed paw.

"You're too exhausted to continue, Softpaw. This fight is pointless, I don't see any more reason for it to, anyway." With that said, she stepped back, tail stiffly flicking behind. "Go. Head back to your clan. I won't make this a fuss unless you intended for it to be so."

Softfall fell over and was knocked out in the sense he could not continue the fight. The riverclan Molly’s unwillingness to kill him confused him a great deal… in his mind riverclan hated thunderclan and he was sure she would end him. He tilted his head confused still breathing heavily from the fight.

”I don’t understand” is all he was able to say. He shakily got to his paws and glared at her his anger was still there but it was lessened from the amount of confusion he now had.

He got to his paws and shakily got back to his side of the border. He nodded in agreement about not dragging this into a bigger issue . ”this is not over … thunderclan needs land . I am loyal to my clan and will do what I must to build it back to its strength “ he hissed as he got back to his side of the territory

“We will meet again!” he hissed lashing his tail from side to side as he scampered back to his home camp his wounds stung but he would have to do his best to make an excurlse for where he got his wounds
