Start em young! [Closed]

Softfall sat near the nursery flicking his tail from side to side as he glanced over the camp. The food supplies were low as always and with Riverclan taking more and more of their land it would not be long before Thunderclan would be too weak to defend itself. If something was not changed Riverclan would destroy them all!

(That at least is what Softfall was thiniking)

He approached a young kitten nearby the nursery, if Thunderclan were to survive he needed to invest in its future. The evil tom sat next to Mosskit a friendly grin on his face "Hello there" he said in greeting.

"Would you like to hear a story? I know how boring it can sometimes be in the nursery" he asked her and played to her bordom best he could.

He would have to start slow but his idea was to get the younger ones of Thunderclan against Riverclan from there he figured they stood a chance agaisnt Riverclans agression and may even be able to defeat their rival. With a strong base of cats who openly oppsed Riverclan he hoped to force his fathers hand (paw?) in leading an attack against them. What better way than to tell them stories about all the terrible deeds Riverclan had done. From htere he would have to get a little more creative but he was aware he could not rush this too much... Right now it looked innocent as ever, just a warrior sharing stories with a kitten.

Mosskit turned to face Softtail. The warrior was quite right. Right now, she was bored out of her mind.

”Hello!” She meowed. Mosskit’s green eyes lit up at Softtail’s offer. Her small tail was wrapped around her paws. ”I’d love to hear a story.” The kit speculated about what Softtail might say. Maybe a story about Starclan, or the Dark Forest? Maybe the other clans? Or, about their own clan, Thunderclan? Whatever it was, Mosskit hoped it was a good story.

Softfall purred and nodded "Let me tell you a story about a great battle" he said flicking his tail back and forth. He wanted to start off by getting the kits attention ... what better way than this?


"It began a while back... before you were born. You see Thunderclan, the best clan of all the forest was a just and strong clan, we were well repected by all other clans and we had lots of hunting grounds and enough food for everyone so that no one would ever be hungry." He gave some background to fill in how he wanted to portray things.

"Then everything changed when Riverclan the greediest of all clans attacked! They took our land and beat us in a vicious battle leaving many Thunderclan cats wounded" he said sadly trying his best to sound sincere.

"Ever since Riverclan tricked us and stole our land they have mocked us and they grow fatter every day while we here in thunderclan barely get by." He flicked his tail pointing to the very low amount of food in the fresh kill pile to drive home his point.

He dropped his voice to a whisper in hopes to really get the kits attention
"and you know the worst part??" he said pausing for the effect to let her ponder a little before saying...

"There is rumor that they waste food daily just to mock us. They kill prey and then wont even eat it so that we will not have enough here" he whispered.

he hoped that this would work. He wanted the kit to feel angry at riverclan and if that didnt anger the kit hmm he would have to search elsewhere for minds to manipulate.

He continued "If Riverclan is not put in check soon they will continue to steal more and more of our land until Thunderclan is no more" he meowed

He pretended to groom his front paws but he was actually watching intently to see what her reaction to all this would be.

Mosskit was quiet when Softfall spoke.

At first, the warrior talked about Thunderclan. He then moved on to Riverclan, calling them greedy. Mosskit hadn’t heard much about Riverclan, and so she was inclined to believe what Softfall said. Her eyes drifted to the fresh-kill pile when the warrior gestured to it. Mosskit had thought that the lack of food was because of leaf-bare and its harsh conditions. But wasn’t it possible that one of the causes of Thunderclan’s scarce food supply was because of Riverclan being greedy? Just the thought made her temper flare.

Softfall then paused for dramatic effect. And it worked, because Mosskit found herself leaning in to hear what the warrior had to say.

And what he had to say was shocking. Her mind skipped over the word ‘rumor’ as she thought about what Softfall had said. What had Thunderclan done to deserve such treatment? Did the other two clans know about Riverclan’s waste? As Mosskit thought, her expression turned into one of anger and confusion.

”That’s… awful.” Mosskit replied, her gaze going to the ground. It was then when she realized something; based on Softfall’s story, Riverclan was breaking the warrior code. Her green eyes widened at this before Mosskit added, ”Th- That means Riverclan is breaking the w- warrior code!” There was anger in her voice, and it caused her to stutter a few times.
