She missed her family.
Achlys had always been somewhat of an outsider when it came to her family, however she knew there was love between both sides; she adored all of them to the point of murder, claws unintentionally flexing as she thought of her family's attack on ShadowClan a small while ago. Things were so different now, she had a different name and apart from Achelois and the surprising appearance of Atalante, the molly was sincerely lacking in the comforts of the family she had grown up with. A small bit of guilt had begun to grow in the pits of her stomach the longer they were there; thinking of how she had left without even saying goodbye - in her defence, she didn't think they'd be staying - and how she refused to blend despite her sisters settling in considerably, even going by their new names. Achlys- Thistlepaw, however? She couldn't deny she hated it. All of it.
But she was oh-so-aware of how she needed to try, and so she found herself paired up with another apprentice on a hunting trip. The oaks creaked above, weathered by many moons and the most recent harsh winter, and a chill ran down her spine. It was more sheltered from the elements here than her previous place of occupation and for that the former rogue was a little grateful, but she still missed seeing the stars above. Her paws were beginning to sting a little from the frost-bitten ground, and she turned to her companion, a cat who had also left a group to join the one they both found themselves in.
"Do you think this is far enough to start looking? It's... cold." It was a meagre attempt at conversation, but an attempt nonetheless.
