SkyClan had been a drag for Newtspring lately: his sisters were all gone somewhere (a bit bitterly, he wondered if the other two would come back; at least he knew Beechfang would), Orchidmask had been too busy to bother often, his apprentices were both all but warriors, and the rest of his family... the large tom shook out his fur. He wondered briefly about finding Briarthorn, but his paws caught up with nerves before he could entertain the idea too far. Feeling particular bored and bossy, Newtspring marched his way up to one of the younger warriors, shoving his nose into her face with a grimace. "'Ey, up 'n' off yer paws. We're goin' huntin'." Without any of his usual flair– excitement a flourish of his tail as he turned away –the tabby padded out of camp on the same heavy paws without waiting for an answer.
