So much snow. So. Much. Snow. Bloodstar sank below it a few times before finally leaping up onto the Tallbranch with a grunt. He was frosted head to toe in the stuff, viciously cursing it and all that leaf-bare brought. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a clan meeting!" He called out. At least Skyclan was getting another warrior now....

Dreamypaw was playing around with Rabbitchaser, until she heard the call of a clan meeting. Was it going to be a new apprentice? A new warrior? Something really important? Dreamypaw didn't know, but she got excited about every meeting, so of course she ran up to Tallbranch faster than a rabbit running from a cat. Anticipating more words to fall from Bloodstars mouth. I wonder what this meeting is for! Is this something important, maybe? Something about... This guessing game is getting boring. I'll just have to wait and see!

Once the clan had gathered, Bloodstar's eyes went to Dreamypaw. "Dreamypaw step forward. It is time for you to become a warrior. I, Bloodstar, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Dreamypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" Did anyone else get tired of hearing this same line as much as he got tired of saying it? He wouldn't make his feelings known, of course, lest he ruin the apprentice's special day.

"Dreamypaw, step forward."

Those words rang in her mind like bells. It was her turn to become a warrior! She gracfully, but excitedly walked up closer to Tallbranch. As Bloodstar recited the words everyone had known at this point, Dreamypaw waited until she could accept the terms of being a warrior. Defending her clan with her life sounded like a pretty huge job, but her friends were there to help her. "I do." She spoke the words that every warrior has recited before, awaiting the response of the leader.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name, Dreamyflight. Skyclan honors your ambition and confidence." Bloodstar jumped from the branch and rested his chin on Dreamyflight's head. With a quick whisper of congratulations, the ceremony had concluded.

There was joy sparking in her eyes as Rabbitchaser heard the leader call Dreamypaw forward. Her friend was going to be a warrior! That was awesome! Now they could both be warriors together!

She listened intently as the traditional words were spoken, the same words that had been said at her own ceremony. And then the name was bestowed.

"Dreamyflight! Dreamyflight! Congratulations! Hey, now that you're a warrior, let's go make your nest! You can have one next to mine! Come on!"
