Go Again [C]

Ashfall sat quietly, eye looking out at the snow-dusted moor. It wouldn't be too hard for her to move around in this, at least. When the snow was too thick, it got hard to limp through, hard for her to stay stable. Thankfully, some had melted off. It would make it much easier for her to begin Coyotepaw's training, and she had no idea what she was getting into with her. Standing, she limped to the Apprentice's Den, ducking inside. It didn't take long to find Coyotepaw's form, and she gently prodded with her limp paw. "Hey, time to train. Come on out to the entrance." Limping away, she took her seat back near the entrance, tired eye glancing over the snows once again.

Coyotepaw was woken with a limp paw. Blinking her eyes open, she awoke to find Ashfall standing over her, talking about training. With a big yawn, Coyotepaw stood up quickly and followed her out of the den to the entrance. She was ready to train hard today, and make her mother proud. "What are we doing today, Ashfall?" So far, the apprentice had a deep respect for her mentor, and her tone reflected such. Paws itching, Coyotepaw really wanted to head out.

Ashfall hummed for a moment as she lead Coyotepaw out of the camp. She had planned things, obviously, she always planned things, but she was still unsure of the order. After some deliberation, she decided. "Combat first, then we'll do some hunting. Most apprentices like the fighting part more than the hunting part anyway." She settled them into a clearing mostly devoid of thick snow, the powder making it easy to do, and copy, fighting moves. "Let's start with an easy spar for a little while to see what you're weak at, and I'll help you thicken up your defenses, and show you your strengths after. You can strike first, I'll see how you do." Setting up into her unique version of a defensive stance, the one-eyed warrior waited for her apprentice to strike. She was curious what Coyotepaw would be good at. She appeared lean and lithe, good for a Windclan cat. She was probably fast, normal for a Windclanner, and easy to train. Though that was a bit... predictable to other clans. She would have to find something else for her apprentice to fall back on, just in case.

Trotting behind Ashfall, Coyotepaw nodded along quietly. Fighting and hunting? This pleased her. Busy days went by faster, and every day she was closer to being a warrior. As her mentor took a battle stance, her heart raced as she considered her options. The young cat really wanted to make the best impression she possibly could after all of her self-practing and sparring with other apprentices. Without warning, in her mind at least, Coyotepaw darted forward and struck her mentor's flank with sheathed paws before darting away before she was hopefully met with a blow.

Coyotepaw uses Front Paw Blow on Ashfall and causes 4 HP and uses 5 SP.
