Klaus scaled the fence surrounding the great garden with one good leap. He landed softly on the other side into the Great Garden. This wasn't a place he typically ventured into, but with leaf-bare here, he'd needed to expand his hunting areas. ESPECIALLY NOW, YOU COMPLETE MOUSE-BRAINED MORON WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! YOU WEREN'T! THAT'S THE TRUTH! And now Hyacinth was likely carrying kits. His kits. He sighed loudly, clearly frustrated with himself. It was about late morning, but the sun didn't need to be in the sky in the right position for him to hunt anymore. The gold and white tom blended in perfectly with the snowy surroundings and the touch of yellow light in the sky. There were still birds here at least. The twolegs liked to feed them year round with those seed holder things.

That made them extremely vulnerable targets. He sunk low to the ground and approached slowly as more and more songbirds flitted around the bird feeder. They were beginning to bicker amongst each other, all more hungry than before now that leaf-bare had arrived. He moved expertly across the ground, using whatever shrubbery was left as cover for when he needed to move. He was nearly within leaping distance. A robin was on the ground below the feeder along with a dove picking up the seeds that had fallen below when the smaller songbirds knocked the seeds to the ground in their bickering. He decided he'd try for the dove... despite that being the faster of the two. He preferred their taste anyway... he hoped Hyacinth would as well.

Oliverain frowned at the sky. Soon it would be sunhigh, a sign she had spent way too much time here. There were patrols to attend, prey to hunt. If she didn't find Dawnfeather quickly this would all be a big waste. How big could the Twolegplace be? Squirrels bounced above, running through trees as if to mock the molly. I get it, I can't climb. I really need to learn... And who's the best tree-flyer I know? Gone. She shook her head, continuing to roam around the odd place. It was as if the Twolegs had taken a corner of the forest and put it in their territory, keeping it trimmed and making little paths. For what? Easy travel? Whatev-

She caught something in her peripheral- cream fur. Cream fur. Her face perfectly reflected the pure joy she felt bloom inside. Oliverain turned to see the cat better, whom was hunting a dove. She thought back to how Dawnfeather would call doves a good omen. Oliverain noted how lucky she was to find that cream within all this snow. "Dawnfeather!" she called, but as soon as the name left her mouth something felt wrong. Why did that not look like Dawnfeather? She felt terror replace that bliss as it hit her. Mistakes were made, and now she was engaged with a rouge. What's worse, Dawnfeather was still lost. Bird-dung.

"Dawnfeather!"

Dawnhawk spun on the voice and the birds exploded in all directions at the sudden noise and movement. Well... there went his food. His ears pinned back and a growl tore from his throat. "Nope... it's Dawnhawk." His fur bristled in annoyance and he charged immediately. This was a Skyclan cat. He knew even before her scent hit his nose. She knew who Dawnfeather was and she was close to the twoleg place apparently looking for her.

Dawnhawk himself was at war with all of the clans... and this one was alone. Why wouldn't he take advantage of this?

"Here, let me show you the difference so you don't make that mistake and cost me my food again!" He had kits coming... and from the way Hyacinth had looked... there was going to be a lot of them. He couldn't have interruptions like this. He couldn't afford to lose prey at all. The tom leaped off of his powerful Skyclan legs and his claws and teeth sought the she-cat's flesh without an ounce of mercy.
