Listening to the river (Any RC or TC cat can join)

Deadfrost settled down on a semi-warm rock, and let one unsheathed paw scrape the ice. He was exhausted from running around with apprentices all day, and he'd already hunted, so he'd decided to lie by the river. He hadn't seen any cats yet, nor did he expect to. What did Rosethorn's words mean?

Cherrypaw was hunting on her side of the river, when she smelt ThunderClan scent. She peered through the reeds and saw Deadfrost on the other side of the river. She emerged from the ferns and said, "Oh, hello!"

Deadfrost raised his head and spotted he little RiverClan apprentice he'd seen when he found the weird thing. "Oh, it's you." He sighed, and kept thinking about the ominous words.

*cough*askwhat'swrong*cough*

Cherrypaw looked at Deadfrost. He seemed sad. "What`s wrong?" she asked.

She looked around to see if anyone had dropped another orange lump. If that was what happened it would have depressed her, she HATED the way Twolegs left their food behind.

OCC: Not sad, just very confused and troubled

Deadfrost looked down at the frozen river. "I saw a StarClan cat. She said something strange to me..."

"Who was the cat?"

"Rosethorn." He scraped the ice again. "No one seems to know what it means."

"What did she say? I`m no medicine cat, but I could try to help you figure it out."

OOC: Note that earlier, I said u SEEMED sad.

"Well, I asked her why me and my mate couldn't have our own kits, and she said: Featherfall has a different destiny than kits, as do you. Many kits will only hurt you in the long run. How will my destiny be so different tat I can't have kits with her?"

"Hmmm.." Cherrypaw said. "Maybe Rosethorn thinks you have more to do for your clan than you think, and having kits with Featherfall will just slow you down."

Deadfrost blinked. "More to do with my Clan?"

"I don`t know, I`m just speculating, but maybe you will do more for your Clan than having kits will allow at the moment, like helping to save the Clans from some greater destruction, or something like that." Cherrypaw mewed.

Pinespirit slunked forward. "What are you doing out of camp, Cherrypaw? And without supervision?"

Cherrypaw jumped at the sound of her mentor.

"Oops! Sorry, Pinespirit!! I just thought I`d go hunting, and then I saw Deadfrost here. I`ve met him before, so I thought I`d say hello."

Snowclaw padded over "Hi Deadfrost" she mewed
