Loudpaw's Warrior Ceremony

There was a sense of pride as Flintstar made the leap onto the Jaggedrock, glancing towards the apprentice den. His hard work with Loudpaw had paid off - the young tom had completed his training and the leader could only see it fit to name him a warrior. As much as the leader hated to admit it, this was a rare opportunity to see one of his apprentices gain their warrior name - he wasn't sure what it was but...He rarely had the chance despite his numerous apprentices throughout the moons. He could only hope that Loudpaw would proudly serve ShadowClan for a long while. "ShadowClan! Gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock!"

Loudpaw had been chatting with an apprentice when he noticed Flintstar on the Jaggedrock, followed with the clan meeting call. The tabby flicked his tail in the direction of the leader, alerting his friend. "Hey, hey let us go see what is going on over there! What if it is a warrior ceremony? Or something else, like that the rouges finally left! Come on come on!" he meowed, bouncing past the other cat and away from the apprentice den. Who would the ceremony be for? Ooh is it for Basilpaw? Oh wait no she is a medicine cat. Marshpaw? That would be impressive if it is hers, since she is pretty new. He grinned, whatever the meeting was about it was sure to be exciting right? The tom stood in the crowd, too intrigued to sit calmly.

Flintstar glanced over as his apprentice took his seat among the crowd, clearing his throat as he raised his head to start the meeting. "I've called you all here to witness an apprentice gain their warrior name. Loudpaw, please step forward," he meowed as he dipped his head to his apprentice, the sense of pride still radiating in his chest. He waited for Loudpaw to scamper to the front before he continued on. "I, Flintstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Loudpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

All the leader was looking for was a single word but to be honest, he would be surprised if he would only get one word from Loudpaw. For as odd as the two were as a pair, Flintstar had somewhat grown...Used to Loudpaw's talkative nature. The tom never expected the leader to answer back - he was sure Loudpaw was happy to just have somebody who was ready to listen to whatever crossed his mind - plus Flintstar sometimes found it nice to focus on the talking instead of the old familiar sound of the marsh for a change of pace.

Loudpaw's smile stretched, it is my ceremony! Yes oh yes! he thought while rushing to his spot in front of the crowd. "Definitely yes! I will!" he promised a bit too loudly. It didn't matter, he was almost a warrior! Who wouldn't be excited? The tom set a paw on his tail, keeping it from squirming. Looking up at Flintstar he realized he would miss his mentor. Loudpaw really enjoyed the time they had spent together, he would have to make sure to tell him that after this, also that he did a fantastic job teaching him. He knew he would pass it on well if he gets an apprentice. What is my warrior name going to be? he wondered, instantly focusing back on the ceremony.

...Huh, Loudpaw had given more than one word as expected but somehow...Flintstar had been expecting even more. His whiskers twitched as the barest hints of a smile pulled at his muzzle as he gave a proud nod to his apprentice. "Then by the powers granted to me, I give you your warrior name. Loudpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Loudnose. We honor your friendliness and energetic nature, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." As he finished, he pushed himself to his paws and jumped down - padding over to Loudnose before resting his chin on the tom's head. "You've made me very proud, Loudnose, and I know your parents will say the same. Now, enjoy the rest of the night to celebrate before your vigil - and remember, its a silent one," he warned but there was a lightness to his tone - finding himself amused as he wondered if Loudnose would actually make it through the vigil - if not...Well, Flintstar truly didn't mind as long as nobody was bothered.
