The stars of Silverpelt shone clear and bright down on Wolfpaw, as she padded quietly through Thunderclan territory. The impulsive apprentice knew it was against the rules to be out without a warrior, especially at night, but she wanted to think alone. She didn't think much in general, that much she knew, because she was out in the territory alone at night. Her amber gaze swept the forest, taking in how much different it looked. Sometimes, she thought, different was just another word for beautiful. Different styles, different cats, could be just as beautiful as others, and their beauty came from the difference they had. The gray molly smiled a little as she thought this, happy that she could meet so many different cats, and different things. Her thoughts turned back to the territory around her. It hadn't been hard to get out, but, she probably wouldn't be doing this alone again, it felt as if she was being watched by every predator in that forest. Wolfpaw wasn't scared, but she also wasn't stupid, and began to think about her friendships, and what she was actually doing for her clan, in a direction that would bring her back to camp. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks, spotting a snake slithering right in her path. Eyes wide as the full moon, she began backing away, knowing how dangerous some snakes could be. That's when it began to hiss, and Wolfpaw knew that she would rather be striking first if this snake was going to try and hurt her.
Quickly, she bolted towards the snake, leaping onto the slithery creature, and holding herself as steady as possible as her claws sunk into the scaly flesh of the thing. She really didn't want this thing getting free and trying to bite her.
Wolfpaw used Leap and Hold, dealing 6 damage and using 10 stamina. The snake is pinned for 2 turns!

The snake struggled in Wolfpaw's grasp, but she was able to hold it, digging her claws deeper into the creature. She was able to then bring one paw up, and then down again upon the snake's head, bringing its life to a close.
Wolfpaw continued using Leap and Hold, dealing another 6 damage! Snake is defeated!

Breathing a small sigh of relief, Wolfpaw looked up at the stars. I wonder if Starclan helped me..? Her thoughts aside, she began trotting quickly back to camp. Perhaps someday, Wolfpaw would tell this story to her friends, but not today.
