A Warning for the River [OPEN TO RC CATS]

Tigersong's death was eating Bloodstrike alive. He took it as a personal failure, and like a demon in his head he couldn't stop replaying the images of finding the tom's body over and over. He had sent him to his death and could have lost Lichenpaw as well. He tossed and turned in his nest until he couldn't take it anymore. The sun was barely peaking over the horizon. The only clan he'd warned so far was Shadowclan, and that was if Murkystrike remembered to spread the word. He had to try to warn Riverclan too. He didn't imagine Dawnhawk was so crafty he could walk where ever he wanted unseen by the other clans. The more eyes and ears out to his location, the better. With time, Bloodstrike would spread this information as far as Windclan, but for now, he had just enough time to go to the river before he began his patrol. He hoped he could speak to Thunderclan about this as well, and he hoped that Wolfstar wouldn't take this personally. He'd tried to keep Skyclan's business only known to Skyclan, but this was bigger than just one clan. Who else would Dawnhawk hurt? Would he be satisfied with just maiming Smokefeather? Had he made other enemies unbeknownst to Skyclan? Bloodstrike wasn't leaving it to chance. Besides, the more cats watching for him, the more likely he'd be found and perhaps apprehended.

So the Skyclan deputy headed for the river and waited by the bend where he would see a Riverclan patrol, hopefully. He would for as long as he could so that he could pass along the warning. You can't hide if I don't leave you with anywhere to go. He thought to himself, referring to Dawnhawk.
