Frigged Hunting (closed)

Making her way through the frost covered, marshy territory which she called her home, Tulipfang made her way to her favorite hunting spot, which wasn't far from the Thunderpath. With the cold season upon them, prey had begun to grown scarce throughout the territories, and today, she hoped to put her skills to good use, for the clan's sake. It didn't take too much time and not long after her short journey through the tall grass and hardened, marshy spaces, the she-cat caught the scent of prey. Crouching down and keeping her tail low, she crept forward and soon enough, spotted a thin mouse scratching at the base of some shrubbery and luckily for her, it seemed to be too distracted to even notice the predator lurking behind the brush.

Stalking towards the valuable little piece of prey, Tulipfang waited a few moments, her white haunches wiggling back and forth in anticipation. Just a little longer and she'd be ready... Pouncing, the she-cat had failed to calculate how far way the mouse actually was from her and landing just a hair short of it, sent it scurrying away under the nearby brush. 'Mousebrain...' she thought to herself, disappointed that she hadn't been able to catch anything on her first try of the day. Before she was able to continue, the familiar voice of her father sounded in the distance. "Coming!" she mewed back. Next time, that mouse would be her's.
