A New Beginning

Willowbreeze darted across the Thunderpath, entering ShadowClan territory.  She needed to find Vinetail before any other cat spotted her, so she could explain her situation.  The mucky ground felt wet underpaw, making her feel uncomfortable.  It was different navigating another Clan's territory.  She had only been there a few times visiting Vinetail.  It all looked different in the dark, and she lost all prior knowledge of her surroundings.  

Stopping to figure out where she was, she smelled a familiar scent, a wave of relief washed over her.  Vinetail was nearby!  Sprinting past some tall pine trees, she followed his scent.  She almost ran into him as she turned.
"Take me to your camp," she told him, "I want to become a ShadowClan warrior!"

"What huh?!" He slightly hissed, his claws unsheathing. But soon he realized it was just Willowbreeze. "But... why? You seem so happy in riverclan."

Willowbreeze took a deep breath, calming herself enough to explain.
"Somehow Ivystar found out.  About us," she looked him in the eyes, "she gave me two options.  I could either be exiled from the Clan, or be confined to the camp for the next moon, and I wouldn't be allowed to see you," 
A determined look crept into her eyes.
"That's why I need to join ShadowClan."

"Well... erm..." He was at a loss for words. He seemed to think a little bit before saying, "Ok, but we have to pretend that we don't know each other at all when we get to camp." He mewed in a serious tone.

"Ok," she meowed, understanding why.

"But maybe it would be better to say something..." He said quietly. "Augh! I don't know!" He was a bit stressed in this situation.

He sighed. "You're right... We should..." He mewed, a bit of nervousness and an unsure tone in his voice. But he sucked it all up and began his walk towards camp, his heart racing. ""Camp is this way." He meowed, trying to sound confident.

Willowbreeze followed him into the depths of ShadowClan territory.  All the strange, unfamiliar scents overwhelmed her, and she walked a little faster.

"Stay close..." He mewed as they neared the camp.

The scent of ShadowClan cats was overpowering.  She recognized semi-familiar scents of some of the ones she had met at Gatherings.  They came up to the camp entrance.  She gave Vinetail a nervous look, and they padded into the camp side by side.

He also seemed fairly nervous. He kept his side up against Willowbreeze as they padded into the camp. He tried to look confident, but it was not very convincing.

Willowbreeze expected curious stares to come upon her, but barely anyone was awake.  She looked to Vinetail to tell her where to go, for she had never been in the ShadowClan camp before.

He stood tall, walking, no, marching, towards the leader's den. He was trying to seem as confident as he could, but he was all... weird... inside.

Willowbreeze calmly padded through the ShadowClan camp, chin held high.  Relieved that the time of night dismissed any potential stares, she padded to where she thought the leader's den was.
"Flintstar?" she called into the den, her voice shaking, "This is Willowbreeze from RiverClan.  I need to speak to you," she cast a nervous glance at Vinetail while waiting for a response.
