Subject: The smoke running down the stream (closed) Wed 30 Sep 2020 - 21:47
The slightly cold breeze of leaf-fall made Streamtail shiver. This was a time where she wanted to have a longer pelt. Emerald green eyes scanning for a familiar face, the she-cat spotted a pelt that she knew she had seen somewhere before. It looked kind of...smoky. Smoke...Smoke...Smokepaw! Eyes lighting up as her memory sparked, the RiverClanner excitedly padded towards the apprentice, who looked like she had grown a lot since Streamtail last saw her. "Smokepaw, dear, how are you fairing?"

Smokefeather lifted her head at the sound of a cat approaching. Smokepaw? That wasn't...
Well, it had been her name. Not for what felt like seasons, though. Come to think of it, the pretty, gray-furred she-cat calling to her both looked and sounded somewhat familiar. They had met, but where? Smokefeather had never been one for really socializing at gatherings, but she had spent time exploring near the borders of Skyclan's territory when she was an apprentice...
"Streamtail...?" Oh how she hoped that she'd gotten the name right. "It's Smokefeather, now. Stars, it's been a while, hasn't it?" She added cheerfully. It was good to see a familiar face in the overcrowded camp.
"I'm glad to finally be out of twolegplace. My dau-- apprentice left for the moonstone and I think it's the first time I haven't had anything to do in weeks." It was far from a complaint, though. Smokefeather was happy for Primrosepaw, taking one step closer to becoming a warrior. If anyone had worked hard to get to where she was, it was the soft, cream-pointed tabby. Smokefeather couldn't have been prouder of her. And Beechpaw, who she'd seen leaving the camp with her.
"How have you been?" She asked. The last time they had spoken on the banks of a river that had been overflowing, and Smokefeather had been an apprentice terrified of getting her paws wet. Streamtail had been kind, for a Riverclanner, and she'd found herself liking the older she-cat despite her unease back then.
