Wisteriabloom was trekking though RiverClan territory, more careful than usual to keep an eye on the border. She wasn't about to make the same mistake she had made in attacking Smallbean. Her mind focused mostly on hunting, she crept across the wetlands to find a spot to search for prey. A whiff of mouse. A rustle in nearby undergrowth. Her paws quickly changed direction towards her prey. Slowly she crept towards it in a hunting crouch, closing off its escapes. She knew she'd have to be careful with where it ran as the WindClan border was about a fox-length behind her. As she grew closer, she prepared to pounce on it. Her long pelt brushed the ground, so the mouse dashed out of its hiding place, straight into her paws. With a swift bite, she cut off its squeaking and picked it up to burry.

A goose squaked nearby. It had been disturbed by the squeals of prey, and needed revenge. The cats that seemed to be everywhere, who disturbed his peace. Revenge was always the best option. Running at the responsible cat, it thrust its beak towards her.

Caught unaware, Wisteriabloom had little time to defend herself against the angry goose. She felt its beak catch her flank in such a similar place to where it had happened before. Crying out in anger and pain, she twisted around to face her attacker. Already on the floor from her hunting, she slipped under its belly and raked it with her claws unsheathed. Now with the upper hand, she scrambled away and awaited its next move.

Borders still needed to be patrolled. There was still hunting to be done. Wildflower let the breeze tug on her fur as she neared the gorge. Her senses weren't particularly attuned to the world around her as she walked. Her focus was on clearing her mind. Technically she was patrolling (solo, even more dangerous), but she considered it more of a walk... until the outraged honk of the goose cut through the air. The speckled she-cat bolted upright and began to run. Her paws began to feel unsteady and she skidded to a stop. A few moments longer and I would have been at the mercy of the Gorge...

Wildflower carefully placed her paws away from the flaky ground near the edge of the gorge and rerouted herself towards the goose. There was RiverClan scent as well, and an enraged snarl. Blood was evident from both the cat and the goose. The she-cat cursed her lack of sight as she jumped the gorge. Thankfully, her leap cleared the narrow opening and she turned towards the goose. She was aware she was not on her own territory, but she had to help the RiverClan warrior. "Hope you don't," she panted, "mind my help here." She edged towards the warrior carefully. The goose was between them. One well-placed beak or wing and the goose could send her tumbling into the gorge.

The warrior made no hostile movements towards her. Wildflower perceived that as acceptance and took her chance. She dove under the goose's belly. Her claws raked the underbelly of the feathered creature, leaving behind streaks of blood. The warrior rolled onto her paws and spun around so she was no longer at the edge of the gorge. Now the goose was. "We don't need to kill it," she meowed, unaware of how commanding her voice was. "Just wound it enough that it runs." Adrenaline fought anxiety, eventually winning. Her muscles tensed up and blood pounded through her ears. Battle was a distraction from thoughts, she decided. This was what she had wanted.

Wildflower used Belly Rake, dealing 12 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Wisteriabloom didn't protest when a WindClan warrior dashed to help her. She probably would've normally, but she needed all the help she could get in the current situation. Goose now in danger of falling in the gorge, the two she-cats struck more blows at it. It soon realised that it was strongly outmatched but it still tried to escape, flapping its wings and honking more. The tabby warrior reared up on her back legs and lashed out with unsheathed forepaws, trying to drive the goose back even further back. The goose, realising it couldn't win, flapped its wings more until it took off, and off it flew to recover. Victorious, Wisteriabloom turned back to the WindClanner. For the first time, she actually saw her - she was a brown speckled tabby, with a face covered in scars. She guessed that she was a fair bit older than her by her fighting skill and sense of authority.

"Thank you so much! I might have fallen in the gorge," she actually meant it, "What's your name? Your WindClan, I assume."

Wisteriabloom used Rear-up to Slash on Goose, costing 15 SP and dealing 11 damage.
