Goldenpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Flintstar couldn't deny that this ought to be a joyous occasion as he jumped onto the Jaggedrock, eyes scanning the clearing before him. He had...Not been very lucky with his apprentices - each and every one had failed to become a warrior. There was little he had been able to do to prevent their deaths - the world was cruel, he accepted it as much. But finally, one of his oldest had finally completed her training. "ShadowClan! Gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock!" he called, eyes falling toward the apprentice's den as he waited to see the familiar pelt of Goldenpaw, eager to finally grant one of his apprentices their warrior name.

Goldenpaw's curly ears pivoted in the direction of the Jaggedrock when she heard her mentor make an announcement. A Clan meeting? What for? Could it be her ceremony, at long last? She padded calmly up to her leader, though on the inside her heartbeat was picking up and she could barely contain a hopeful smile.

"I've gathered you all here to witness an apprentice join the rank of warriors. Goldenpaw, please step forward," he meowed, turning his attention onto his apprentice. Goldenpaw's training had taken much longer than he had liked - his new responsibilities had gotten in the way of her training and had slowed things down by quite a bit. But finally, her training was at a point where he was content and she had spoken to StarClan... So now, it was time for Goldenpaw to finally gain her warrior name. "I, Flintstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in their turn. Goldenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Goldenpaw could help but to grin from curled ear to curled ear as her name was spoken. She knew it. Her tail swished daintily as she came even closer to the Jaggedrock and looked up at her leader. Once he finished his speech, she nodded. "I do."

Flintstar had been expecting nothing less - he had done everything he could to pass down what was needed to Goldenpaw. He knew that she would do ShadowClan proud as a warrior and swept his tail in a grand gesture as he continued on. "Then by the powers granted to me, I give you your warrior name. Goldenpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Goldencurl. We honor your confidence and pride, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." With that, he jumped down from the rock and padded over to the newly name Goldencurl, resting his chin on top of her head as per tradition. "Congratulations," he rumbled quietly to her. "You've made me very proud."
