Tinykit’s Apprentice Ceremony

Taking her usual place atop Jaggedrock, Ravenmist called to her Clan. “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a Clan meeting!” Another ceremony. Flintstar’s kits had grown up so fast, and almost all of them were apprentices now. Today Tinykit was getting his name, a small tom, but bold and strong.

Tinykit had been counting the moons until he was deemed old enough to become an apprentice— he thought the whole thing was a bit silly, of course. He was obviously more than capable of beginning his training earlier than tradition allowed, even if he was still the smallest one of his litter. He was more than ready.
When he heard the familiar call of the deputy, the small tabby tom bounded out of the nursery to sit beneath Jaggedrock. His head was held high and his tail swished back and forth in anticipation. Surely this was going to be his apprentice ceremony. “Is it my turn, Ravenmist?” He called from his spot near the front of the gathering Clan. “I’m ready!”

OOC: Do not mind me, I was asked to complete these ceremonies. 

IC: "Tinykit, please step forward," she called out as the kit announced his presence - dipping her head in the direction of his voice as it was indeed his turn. "From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tinypaw. Your mentor will be Ebonysong. I trust that she will pass down all that she knows to you."

Ebonysong jolted in surprise as her name was called. She hadn't thought that she would get an apprentice so soon...she wasn't sure if she was ready yet. Covering up her nervousness, the dark-grey she cat padded up to her first apprentice, Tinypaw, and touched noses with him. "Training starts tomorrow, at dawn. Be sure to eat some fresh-kill so that you have enough energy."
