The Willow and the tangled Vines

Vinepaw stalked around, he was hunting but he saw a flash of blue-grey fur. He wanted to know what it was, and if it was someone or something that wasn't supposed to be here, he would chase it out! He smelled the sent of fish. A fish on land? He though. Must be one of those fish-breath riverclan cats... He got ready to pounce on whoever was there.

Willowpaw saw a cat peering at her through the shadows.  She could tell that it wasn't RiverClan.  She didn't know any other cats that would come this far.   She slipped out of view of the cat and crept up behind.

Willowpaw used Run and Tackle, using 10 SP and dealing 9(6+3) HP.

As the cat tackled him, he raked his claws under the cat's belly. He got up, hissing, "Who are you and why are you on shadowclan territory."

He yowled painfully. "This is shadowclan territory! Your clan territory doesn't even touch ours!" He meowed, yanking her tail. "Explain before I do it again!"

Willowpaw had had enough.  "Well, this isn't about me and ShadowClan, it's about me and WindClan!  I just came too far, by accident!" She struck out at his stomach once again.  She didn't want to be fighting him, but since he attacked first, she wasn't going to be the one to back down.

Why was she doing this? He was minding his own business and he was just asking what she was doing here! "Then why didn't you say that in the first place?!" He said between yowls of pain, falling to the ground. He was bleeding pretty heavily, seeming to be a bit too hurt to battle anymore.

Willowpaw's gaze softened.
"I'm sorry, it was me who attacked first," she admitted, "I just scented a cat, and assumed it was WindClan.  I hadn't even realized that this was ShadowClan land until you told me."  She suddenly felt guilty about hurting this apprentice that had felt her anger, the anger she had meant to go against WindClan.
"Here, let me help," she said.  She bent down and lightly licked one of his wounds, then looked at him to make sure if he was fine with her doing it.

He seemed to want to not like it, but he withstood it, and then actually seemed to like it. "Thanks..." He said, wincing in pain every couple licks. "Well we might as well tell each other our names, i'm Vinepaw.

(why do I like these two together all of a sudden XD)

"I'm Willowpaw," she told him.  When his wounds were fairly clean, she ran over to a hollow log and scooped out some cobwebs.  She brought them back over to Vinepaw and gently pressed them on, the way she had seen medicine cats do it.  When she confirmed that they were secure, she stepped back.
"How do you feel now?"

"Way better." He meowed, standing up, testing if he could walk. "Y'know, I like you. You're now becoming one of the only cats I can tolerate." He laughed.

"Same to you," she answered, though she wondered if her feelings were more than that.
"I'm glad you're feeling better," she hoped that she hadn't permanently injured him.  "What were you doing when we, uh, ran into each other?" she asked.
