| One afternoon while Kite was sunbathing, the child, Taylor, ran up to her and prompted her to play a game called hide-and-seek. At first Kite refused to play this game because she could not find the reason for it as it did not make any sense to her. It was when the child began hiding and giving her treats that started this fun activity after what the twolegs called school. The satchel would be left at the porch door, and Taylor would hide in the garden. Kite then went up to the satchel and marked her scent on it by rubbing her face and taking in all the days activities that followed the satchel around. She scented her human's smell and a stale quality of many other humans she had not met. What really got her attention, though, was the small pocket on the outside filled with a herb called catnip. As soon as she got a whiff of this she felt energised and frisky. She ran around the yard and when her child called her she would look around and find him. Sometimes he would be hiding the tree and she would clumsily climb the tree to get to him. Taylor petted her favorite spot between her ears and stroked her tail. Kite purred in response to the tenderness her human gave her and she then head butted his face, touching noses as a greeting.
Oh, this was the happiest time she can imagine, being with her kid and he was just that. She knew he was a kid and she treated him as if he were her kit. Though, there was a sadness when the child ran inside and she could not follow. There were many times she tried to sneak into Taylor's den and many times he would sneak her into his own den to sleep, but most of the time Taylor and Kite got caught by the older humans and she was thrown outside. You see, the older humans did not like her much. They would spray her with water to stop her from sharpening her claws. And when she had her first heat, that was when they threw her out. So you see, Kite became accustomed to outdoor life. Half the time she was outdoors anyhow when they allowed her indoors. When she no longer lived inside the den, the humans put up something on the edges of the tops of the fence to prevent any cat from coming in or out. It was to prevent Kite from encountering toms. Kite has never seen another cat, only scented them nearby the underside on the fence border. She became lonely at times.
The outdoor area was a very large space. It had a large tree in the center, hedges lining the fence, and a garden of flowers everywhere one walked down the paved pathway. There was a bench near the foot of the tree, a rope bed Kite had claimed as her own, and many other interesting areas to explore. Such as the pond which had koi fish. These large fish were too large for her to eat, but they entertained her for a couple of hours a day. She had a routine to uphold because she is a creƤture of habit. Thus adding hide and seek to her weekly routine.

| It started off as a throwing game of food goodies. Taylor would throw a treat and then Kite would run after it and snatch up the small tidbit. She nommed on the treat like it was a plump mouse. She could catch mice if she wanted to, but this activity with her owner was much more entertaining. One morning, after Kite had woken up and lapped up some pond water, Taylor came to her with these tiny round and fuzzy objects. He would throw it with the treat and when she did what he wanted he would give her a treat again. This game was soon to be known as "Fetch".
For some days Kite wasn't sure what these fuzzy things were. She even put some near her water and food bowls to see if it would eat or drink. After some speculation she concluded it was not something alive, but rather another object to play with. Her boy would crawl on the ground with her and tackle her with his hands. She would kick with her hind paws and attack the fuzzy things he darted at her. When he motioned her to come closer as the fuzzy was in her mouth she did so and he gave her a food kibble. They were taisty, but not as taisty as fresh kill so she dropped the fuzzy and Taylor was happy with the result. She mewed at him and purred to her heart's content while kneeding the boy's legs. Fetch was fun! Sometimes the fuzzy would be hiding in the tall grass and other times in plain sight, but no matter where it landed Kite was sure to fetch it. She knew it pleased her owner and that is all she wanted to do was to please him. Though, sometimes when the moon was high in the sky she wished she could climb over the fence and explore past her boundry. The one thing she liked to do the most at night would be to climb the tree that was in the center of the yard and overlook the other areas. Sometimes she dreamed about flight...

| Kite was chasing her tail when her kid showed up one evening with a peculiar objects, multiple boxes. There were holes just the right size for her to squeeze through. In and out she would go. She even chewed the stuff to see if it had a taiste. Taylor had a larger box and he played as well. He had tied many strings and it was a blast to attack these tiny stringy strands. After a while Taylor went inside and Kite was left with the boxes all to herself. It was her domain now, she rubbed her scent all over the edges. How exaughsting these boxes made her, but it was tons of fun. She perched on the top and took a nap after play. She dreamed about Taylor and the fun they created. |

| Sometimes having a human child as an owner was quite a pain to endure. Especially when attempting to put tight stuff over her pelt. Taylor called it a "harness". The name of the game was called a "walk". At first Kite could not walk normally because having the tightness around her belly and underlegs gave her a wierd gait. And there was a very thick string that was attatched to her, which she tried to chew off unsucessfully. Her body froze where it was and she layed down taking in the surrounding area. She was outside her borderline. No fences to keep her in. A distraction with a toy soon melted any anxiety Kite was having and she walked side by side next to her owner. Of course there were plentyfull amount of treats to get her to follow him. There were many frightening things outside her border so she climbed up Taylor and perched on his shoulders. The height made her feel safest in this situation. Walking now turned into riding. Taylor only did this activity once every couple of weeks. Kite learned to enjoy it. |

| A wavy wand stick could entertain for a good while. Taylor would have Kite touch the tip of the wand with her nose and follow whenever he said "mark". This game was also guided with treats. When others watched Kite was clumsy in her movements and rather haisty to touch the wand. When she didn't have an audience Kite could turn graceful. She would jump in the air to reach the wand and lay down and roll over. Anything for Taylor. She even mewed for him on command. She wondered what other cats were doing on the other side. The curiosity was itching at her. |
