Viper enjoyed the feel of grass beneath his paws. He opened his jaws and scented the air. What he scented, he thought was just cat. But what he didn't know was that the scent was actually ThunderClan's border marking. So he padded past it without a second thought.

The gray-brown tabby glanced around for prey. He scented the air again, and found stale fox with mouse. So he stalked the mouse, leapt, and killed it with a swift bite. He sniffed the air again, certain there was something he hadn't smelled before. And there was. Fresh, distinct cat scent. Which meant it was an individual, not general markings. Viper dropped his prey to the ground and crouched down, ready to defend his catch if the cat wanted to take it.

Willowpaw had decided to hunt near the border, when suddenly, she scented fresh mice. Curious, she followed the scent of fresh-kill, thinking it was a fellow ThunderClanner. What she saw though, was not what she thought. A rouge pounced onto the mouse, then suddenly sniffed the air, eyes narrowing. Willowpaw’s eyes widened. She had forgotten about checking the direction of the wind, and now the cat had scented her.

Viper's pale eyes narrowed as he spotted a cat. Thoughts ran through his mind. Attack first. They might mean harm. If they do, attacking is the best defense. If not, you'll be safe anyway. So Viper launched himself at the apprentice with that thought in his head. At the last moment, he simply shoved her to the ground, a few paces away.

Viper used Run-And-Tackle, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Willowpaw snarled as the rogue pushed her to the ground. She leaped up again, then dived underneath the rogue, scratching at his underbelly.

Viper snarled in pain, but didn't react further. His eyes darkened in rage, and he whipped around to the backside of the cat, grabbing her tail and pulling sharply, yanking her off balance.

Viper used Tail Yank, dealing 5 damage, costing 10 stamina, and stunning Willowpaw for one turn.

Willowpaw’s head hit the ground. Hard. The world spun dizzily around her and she lost her balance, flopping onto the ground, Her old scars around her underbelly flashed with pain, and she almost cried out.

OOC: Ive seen an announcement before about something like bonus damage. I dont think its only SC.

Viper noted how pain-filled Willowpaw's movements seemed to be. He could end this soon. He unsheathed his claws and slashed at her face with unsheathed claws, noting with some satisfaction the blood that welled up beneath his strike. "This is my prey, little rat," he hissed.

Viper used Front Paw Strike, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina.
