What are the duties of a medicine cat? :
(IC)The duties of a medicine cat are to attend clanmates both physically and spiritually, a confidant, a friend, an advisor, and a caretaker. As one follows the way of a warrior often more than not they are harmed, some cat has to be there for them, to be the one they depend on when they're vulnerable. Not only does the health of the clan matter but that of the other clans and outsiders be it rouge, loner, or kittypet. To think only of one's clan would be selfish, its best to have a medicine cat with compassion and empathy as well. Besides taking care of the clan's wellbeing there is also the matter of Starclan. Communicating with Starclan is an important aspect to that of a Medicine Cat's duties. To not do so would cause great strife and scourge within not one's clan alone but others. Not only that but to be a medicine cat the cat in question should be prepared for the important role ahead of them, to do the best they can at any time.

What would you do with this position? :
(IC)In order to fulfill this position to the best of her ability if not beyond, for even at a young age she would assist the clan in its dire moments of need. Tensions high she keeps herself cool in order to get things done, her determination strikes through no matter he situation. Thornkit would grow up as an individual who could handle the mantle of being Riverclan's Medicine Cat, to heal those around her and to commune with the clan's ancestors in Starclan's understanding in the mysterious ways the deceased communicate with the living.

Why you think you deserve this position? :
(IC)Thornkit would be a considerate and wise medicine cat apprentice. They will do what is best for the clan, not for the individual that seeks power or personal gain for a dire role to play inside the clan. Even as a kit Thornkit has expressed a lack of interest when it comes to play fighting or hunting. Instead she uses her free time away from her mother to observe Riverclan's medicine cat Spider Quill in motion, applying poultices and herbs to injured clanmates' wounds. While she does mess up on the names, yes, but her interest at heart is to help others growl and heal. Her calm nature would suit well for the apprenticeship ahead of her, that and her nature of healing and understanding others.
(OOC) As a new member and face around the WCC community I have been here previously when I was much younger, newer to roleplaying. Now I come back to this roleplay with a clear head having gained over several years of roleplaying experience both in and out of rp. Along with that aforementioned experience since rejoining, I am an active roleplayer although I’m still trying to find a way to rp with others on the discord server who have been nothing but kind. Not only that but I find the path of a medicine cat fitting for Thornkit as a character as she has great strengths and flaws that would prove interesting to rp. Of course, rp’ing as a medicine cat is new to me - I have rp’d high ranking roles such as leaders and deputies in the past to get adept to high ranking roles that need active members. Considering the recent status of the website its quite an important and active role I’ll be responsible with.
