Meassage from Starclan (closed for Finch and maybe MCS and Raven)

Spotlake looked around camp, as if looking for someone. It was mostly empty so finding the cat she was looking for was easy. Her eyes then landed on Finchstar. Spotlake hurried towards him. "Um Finchstar I need to talk to you." She said. "And if Aspenheart or Softpaw is anywhere invite them over too."

Yellow eyes of a contemplative tom blinked slowly, watching as Spotlake approached. Finchstar felt numb, paws tingling. "Yes Spotlake? What is it?" From the tone in her voice; and the suggestion to invite Aspenheart and Softpaw, Finchstar knew something was off. He stood from his spot in the den, weaving around the Tallrock to fetch his companion. "Give me a moment, friend. I will find our medicine cats, make yourself comfortable." Leaving the den, Finchstar found his way into the sandy hollow, padding beneath the over-arching slope to find his former apprentice and medicine cat. They had not spoken since the gathering. Finchstar was worried, hurt, but mostly stubborn. His care for Aspenheart's wellbeing may ironically be the very downfall of the tom - not that the leader knew. He was blinded by his own morals.

"Aspenheart." Finchstar whispered, tail flicking to and fro tediously. "Spotlake has brought a message; from her tone of voice..." The tom paused, gazing into his friend's eyes, wounded. "There's a spot for you in my den, bring Softpaw as well if you would."

Aspenheart looked up from his spot to find Finchstar, looking rather nervous. Never a good sign. His eyes flickered to Softpaw, back to Finchstar, and then back to Softpaw again, where he nodded for her to follow. "I guess I'm getting some exercise today after all," he grumbled, staggering out into the blinding sunlight. He dragged his tail comfortingly across the tom's tense flank as he followed after his leader with apprentice in tow. There was a glint of something vaguely devilish in the way he smiled. "Last time I saw you this put-off, you were being threatened by quote-unquote foxes with little dead birds. You've reaaally done it this time, haven't you? Did you lose a life while I wasn't looking? Or are we finally at war? I've been building an herb stockade since the full moon, don't you dare disappoint me!"

Before entering the den, he gave Finchstar one last look, a little softer. "Alright, I'm done. United front. Softpaw, you arguably have more common sense than me and birdbrain combined, so feel free to take a lead if it presents itself, hm?"

Once within, he bore witness to the strange anxiety written on Spotlake's face. It was unnerving in a way he couldn't describe. He waited for the other two to make themselves comfortable.

Spotlake looked towards Aspenheart and Finchstar with Softpaw most likely to follow. "In a dream I had just last night a Starclan cat visited me. She was from Windclan. And she brought a message with her. She said that impurities blossom like algae in a riverbed. May these spores infect every nest lined with immorality, in every camp, in every den, until their confession is suitable to the stars. I don't why she sent it to me instead of any of you. The cat said to deliver the message so maybe you can make sense out of it." Said Spotlake, her voice quiet.

Softpaw had been comfortingly sorting herbs, listening to Aspenheart as he ranted on about something. It was a normal routine; every now and then she'd chime in, only really half listening to the old tom. Routine was comforting, and so when an anxious presence in the form of Finchstar shattered the comfort, worry wormed its way into her being. Whatever it was, it wasn't anything good. What was on Finchstar's mind that troubled him so?

She perked her ears up and lifted her muzzle upon hearing her name, watching the conversation curiously. As her mentor looked back and forth between herself and Finchstar, she unconsciously began to stand up, giving her pelt a quick shake. "A little exercise never killed anyone. I could arguably say it's rather helpful to help cats recover." As Finchstar and Aspenheart began walking, she followed suit.

Softpaw recognized the glint of his eyes and the hint of deviousness in his grin. She made a small 'mrrow' of amusement as Aspenheart began his rant. "Oh yes, our stores are practically overrun from his herb stockade." She nodded, flashing an amused glance to her wobbly mentor. She took up her usual spot on the right of his flank.

Take the lead? She hoped it wouldn't come to that. The normally gentle look of Spotlake's face was contorted into one of pure anxiety. Whatever was wrong, it was serious.
