Red-bellied Robin (closed for cotton)

Redpaw slunk through the little undergrowth that her territory provided, the harsh stink to the Thunderpath growing ever stronger the closer she drew to it. Now that the excitement of finally being apprenticed had worn off, she was back to her grumpy and irritable self, and she flexed her claws as she imagined sinking them into the pelt of anyone who dared try to trespass on her territory. She padded along the border, refreshing a few scent markings as she went, when movement on the other side of the border caught her attention.

She curled her lip as a ThunderClan apprentice appeared out of the forest, and she lashed her tail as she watched her. She turned from the border and retreated a few paces, to where she could watch without being immediately seen.

Robinpaw raced through the forest, nothing but a blur of red and grey to any animal who saw her. She relished the burst of energy rushed through her with every step. She'd snuck out of camp earlier hat morning through the dirtplace, eager to burn some energy. She gracefully ducked under every branch and lept over every log. She already knew most of the territory, she often boasted about it to her fellow apprentices. She wanted to know all of the territory though. One place she hadn't been yet was the border with Shadowclan, also known as the Thunderpath. She hadn't been there yet because she wasn't a very experienced apprentice, and the Thunderpath, or the monsters that run along the, have been known to kill cats."Hmph, i'll show them!" She though aloud. She turned and sprinted in the direction of the Thunderpath.

She didn't have to see it to know that she was near the border. The horrid smell could be scented from fox lengths away. She pushed herself through a final bush at the forest line and broke through to the other side. What stood before her was a large, black, rock-like surface that smelled of smoke and crow-food. She scrunched up her face and backed away when a bright red monster ran past her. 'This wasn't so bad.', She thought, walking up alongside the strip of rock.

Redpaw lashed her plumed tail once again as the ThunderClanner strode confidently up to the thunderpath, acting as if she were invincible. She gave a small smile as the other apprentice shrunk back from a monster, it leaving behind a powerful stench in its wake. She'd assumed the ThunderClanner would have turned away, but was surprised when she did the opposite, and began following the thunderpath.

With a low growl, she slid out of her hiding place and approached the thunderpath, holding her head high. When the next monster had passed, and the area grew silent once more, she bolted across the thunderpath towards the ThunderClanner, her hackles raised and all twelve front claws unsheathed. She barreled into the other apprentice, spitting as she clawed her.

Redpaw used Run and Tackle on Robinpaw, dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Robinpaw's eyes widened as suddenly the breath was taken out of her and she was knocked to the ground. Taking a second to register her attack, she found it was a Shadowclan apprentice. She'd never met this one before though, as she'd never been to a gathering. She narrowed her eyes. "What a mouse-brained thing to do! Why would you run across the Thunderpath of all things to attack someone who's doing no harm!" She snarled. She quickly turned her body around and bit down on her opponent's tail, and yanked as hard as she could. "This'll teach you!" She hissed through the mouth full of fur.

Robinpaw used Tail Yank on Redpaw, dealing 2 HP and costing 10 SP

Redpaw spat as she was knocked off balance by Robinpaw yanking on her tail. "You were getting too close to the border! I can't let wandering ThunderClanners run all over ShadowClan territory, now, can I?"

Robinpaw narrowed her eyes and let out an irritated hiss at the apprentices last comment. "I wasn't even that close to the Thunderpath, even farther so from Shadowclan! " She yowled, taking the time that Redpaw was stunned to launch another attack. She darted underneath of Redpaw and started clawing at his soft belly skin. "This is for coming onto Thunderclan territory to fight me in the first place!" She yowled.



Robinpaw used Belly Rake on Redpaw, dealing -6 HP and costing -10 SP

Redpaw spat furiously again at Robinpaw, after snatching her tail back. "Well, consider it a fair warning from you to me! You won't be so keen on getting near this border again so soon!"

Redpaw hissed as Robinpaw's claws raked through her belly fur, and in response, leaped on top of the other apprentice.

Redpaw used Leap and Hold on Robinpaw. Robinpaw is stunned for two turns.

Robinpaw yowled as she was suddenly being pinned to the ground. She scrambled underneath of Redpaw, desperately trying to free herself.

Robinpaw is pinned for one more turn

Redpaw continued to rake her claws down the other apprentice's back until she felt that Robinpaw had gotten the message. She let the defeated ThunderClanner up and spat, "Now you'll think twice about wandering near the ShadowClan border."

Redpaw continues to use Leap and Hold on Robinpaw. Robinpaw is no longer able to fight!

Robinpaw collapsed under the Shadowclanner, defeated. It wasn't her fault to begin with that the fight had started. Redpaw was just as close to the border as she was, if not closer. But she wasn't really in that good of a position to argue. After one final attempt, She eventually was able to free herself and run back to the heart of Thunderclan territory.

With a flick of her plumed tail, Redpaw turned and crossed the thunderpath back into ShadowClan territory as soon as Robinpaw had fled. She flexed her now bloody paws, with their too-many toes, and smirked to herself as the trees swallowed her up.
