What about Us? [OPEN―Clan topic!]

Honeytongue bristled quietly at the entrance of the warrior's den as her father confirmed that what was said at the Gathering was true, but the anger was only there to mask another sob from escaping her. How? How had he made a mistake like that? She...She couldn't believe that, that it was a simple moment of regret to him. There had to be more to it then that, then...That. That it was a heat of the moment that made him betray everything that he had stood for - everything that he had used to tear Dappleshine away from RiverClan. How could he...How could he have done something like that so easily?

The anger that Stormbringer felt did little to ease the she-cat's feelings, curling tighter into a ball as her friend vowed not to listen to the leader's words. She blinked however as her father spoke again and passed off the leadership in all but title to Ivybrook. She glanced up, staring at Torrentstar as he quickly bounded from the willow branch and headed toward the entrance. She didn't bother to try to stop him, only standing up to slip back into the warrior's den. Her father's actions weren't going to fix anything, she didn't know if he was doing that in an apology or...No, it wouldn't fix anything. It couldn't repair the heartbreak she had felt when the truth was revealed. She padded over to her nest, hesitating as she glanced up, anger flooding through her body as she hoped bitterly that if StarClan did choose to punish him...It was not a cuff of the ear. She wanted Torrentstar punished for his actions.

But as quickly as the anger came, it faded back into a crushing sadness as she slide down into her nest. She buried her nose in her tail, curling up as tightly as she could as she prayed that sleep would soon overtake her and give her peace - a chance to...To escape the reality of the situation. She didn't know how to feel about any of this, she just knew...

She just knew that she felt broken.

So many words were left unsaid, waiting on the tip of Ivybrook's tongue. How could this cowardly excuse for a leader remain so calm, when practically the entirety of his Clan stood against him?! Letting her anger bubble beneath the surface, Ivybrook listened to the words of her worried Clanmates, the curious and confused apprentices, taking it all in. The mention of her father's name struck her hard, a myriad of memories flooding in all at once. How could he bring Jaystar into this! At the very least, Jaystar had been able to admit to what he'd done, without StarClan forcing him to! Dear StarClan, what was he thinking?

A low growl began to build up in the depths of the silver she-cat's chest as Torrentstar began to stutter, at a complete loss for words. The icing on the cake was when he leaped off of the branch, leaving the camp to only StarClan knew where. Probably running back to ShadowClan to see his little kits, she thought bitterly. Shaking her head, she turned to address her Clanmates. "Get back to your nests, and sleep well. Morning patrols start at daybreak as always, no excuses. This Clan meeting is over." When she turned to make her way back to her own nest, she faltered for just a moment. She had no clue whether she was meant to take her normal place in the warriors den, or if Torrentstar had left his own to her. Instead, she opted to stay in the middle of camp, watching each of her Clanmates as they reacted to the chaos.
