Larkkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Flintshard bounded up to the Jaggedrock, easily scaling his way to the top as he glanced down at the clearing before him. ShadowClan was slowly growing, more kits ready to be apprentices and he knew it would be...Interesting, keeping them all out of trouble and getting their training done. But it was good, they needed the boon of strength, to show the other Clans that they were not defeated despite their loss against the forest Clans. Another apprentice to the rank would be a good show of that. "ShadowClan! Gather beneath the shadow of the Jaggedrock."

Larkkit lifted his head from the paws when he heard the call of a meeting. His ears twitched as he glanced around the empty nursery, it seemed that he was the last one to get up. The tom rose to his paws, shaking himself briefly to rid of the moss that clung onto his thick black fur. Larkkit treaded towards the jagged rock, making himself look presentable in front of the clan since he assumed that it was time for his ceremony.

"I have called you all here so a new apprentice can be named," Flintshard stated as he watched Larkkit finally wander from the nursery, taking his spot in the crowd. "Larkkit, please step forward," he said with a swish of his tail, raising his head to glance at the gathered warriors. He had a few ideas of who could mentor the young kit...And finally his eyes landed on who would be suitable. He turned his head back to the kit, clearing his voice. "Larkkit, you have reached the age of six moons. From this day forward, until you become a warrior, you shall be known as Larkpaw. Your mentor shall be Daisyflame." He glanced back over to Daisyflame, giving the warrior a small nod of his head. He still didn't know the tom that well despite being on a few patrols together but could at least respect that he seemed the type to be a good warrior...And a good mentor. He would do.

Hearing his name called, Daisyflame padded up to the young tom and touched noses with his new apprentice. "We'll start training as soon as possible," the older warrior purred with a smile to his son.
