| Climbing atop Jaggedrock, Thornstar lifted her head and called out to her clan.
"Shadowclan, gather!"
Tonight, one of the kits born to Burnt and Silent Snows would receive her warrior name. Thornstar hadn't interacted with the siblings much, but she admitted she had kept her eye on them. The tom, Salamanderpaw, was almost ready as well... but tonight would be Shadepaw's moment. Thornstar had to admit she was impressed with the kit's determination. She'd lost not one, but two mentors in her life thus far.
Not to mention her littermates and parents.

| Shadepaw came out of the apprentice's den knowing this would be her day, her Warrior ceremony. She had pushed herself to be recognised as a Shadowclan cat. Shadepaw stepped forward gazing at Thornstar with bright yellow eyes. She had a smile on her face. "I'm ready." She whispered. She was unsure if Thornstar heard it clearly, but she was sure the leader would know what the determined cat meant. ______________________________________ Murkyhope | Tier 1 Warrior | Shadowclan | 30 HP / 80 SP

Thornstar didn't miss the she-cat's intense golden gaze. Shadepaw's smile caused a flicker of approval to spark in the leader's eyes
She was most definitely ready.
With that in mind, Thornstar began the ceremony. "Today Shadowclan gains a new warrior." She swept her gaze over the gathered cats, her voice carrying over the camp. "She has battled alongside us, training just as hard- ... No, even harder than most of us here. The time has come for us to honor that effort and persistence."
Nodding to the dilute calico below, Thornstar indicated for her to step forward.
"I, Thornstar, leader of Shadowclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of our code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. | There was no time for silence in the air, no matter how nervous she was. She stepped forward, a gleaming determination was the only thing that could be read in her yellow eyes. "I do." She meowed, strong and steadily. Thornstar was ready, Shadepaw was ready. ~But was anyone else?~ She wondered, smile fading as she glanced behind her. ~Yes, everyone else is ready. Thornstar said so.~ She looked back up to Thornstar. | Right at the front of the crowd, Salamander watched his sister with bright brown eyes. For one of the few moments of his life, he was happy. Shadepaw, his sister, his sidekick, and the hardest working cat he ever knew, was finally getting her warrior name. It wasn’t something the calico personally was interested in getting, but he knew how much it meant to her, and he respected that.
As Shadepaw stepped forward, with all the courage and determination Salamander admired her for, he felt a surprising pang of sadness bloom in his chest. ’If only Ash, and Yew, and Copper, and Night were here,’ that small voice in his head whispered. He shook it out. This was the time for celebration, not mulling about. He had been doing enough of that recently. He turned his gaze back up to the dilute calico, making sure to convey just how excited for her he was. ______________________________________ ♫ Baby hotline! | "Good. Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Shadepaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Shadestrike." Thornstar felt the slight pang at the name, considering her brother and childhood friend. She hoped the sh-cat wore it just as well as those before her. "StarClan honors your tireless perseverance and unrivaled speed. We welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan."
