After so many moons sick, finally, Darkkit was good enough to follow Lightpaw in her training. The large tom climbed the Jaggedrock and let out a big yowl. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Jagged rock for a clan meeting!"

A young she-cat bounded from the medicine cat's den with bright eyes, launching herself towards Jaggedrock in a flash of torbie fur. Darkkit was far from a kit by now, but soon she wouldn't have to be called Darkkit anymore so that was okay. Excitement bubbled in her tummy as she planted her little rump down and waited eagerly for mister Lynxscar's next words.

She was so sure this was it.

Her apprentice ceremony!

The tom fixed his green eyes on the small she-cat approaching before he continued the ceremony. "Darkkit, please step forward so we can begin your ceremony." He waited a few seconds for the apprentice to take her place and then, he proceeded. "Now that you have been fully recovered... it's time for you to be apprenticed and join Lightpaw. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Darkpaw. Your mentor will be Ravenmist. May her guide you well, just as she guided me."
