The deputy nodded, relieved to see that his apprentice was fine. Perhaps it would be best to teach him some proper fighting skills soon but Deerpaw had done admirable for his first real adventure out of the camp. "You did good, they ought to be jealous of how well you've proven yourself," he teased, smiling softly as he turned to go pick up the prey. It wasn't hard for him to pick up both the squirrel and the bird as he motioned for Deerpaw to follow after him. Slowly his smile started to fade as he realized he would have to go back to fretting about his duties - of sending out patrols and praying that they wouldn't come back harmed. A soft sigh escaped him, having enjoyed the little escape that this patrol had given him and was already looking forward to when he would get to go out with Deerpaw again.
